We were in the Languedoc in May staying with Eurocamp. My husband had 'shorts' on - however these are very high up on the leg if you know what I mean, and the lifeguards stopped EVERYONE who was wearing them. They had to be proper swimming trunks. First time we've known it like this, and we have been to a few campsites in our time.0

So he managed to get away with wearing shorts because they were "short" shorts then?0 -

I think the technical term is mankini, and you can carry it in your manbag. Dont think you will find one in Next though, and think of the tan lines!0 -

Agreed! My bf* plays water polo so has to wear them, but they are just wrong. Wrong wrong wrong. He is undeniably hot, but when he puts his boy pants on, it is just wrong.
Wrong.

I went on a family holiday to Chateau des Ormes, only a few weeks ago ( 24th June to 9th July 09). It was fantastic you will have a great time. There were no restrictions on the shorts you are allowed to wear, I saw people in long burmuda shorts (my son include),so dont worry.0

Anyone remember the 'Fast Show' presenter who had 'ball, John!' shouted at him every time he crouched down to look at something - maybe this is why they insist on proper swimwear - whether it is shorts or trunks - to stop any of the boys having accidental 'dinde' shots
ps that's my schoolgirl French coming back - just hope everyone realises what a Turkey shot is:oMember of the first Mortgage Free in 3 challenge, no.19
