Warning - do not use wolstenholmes solicitors

Hi all, I have just found out that Wolstenholmes has been closed down - the link is on the BBC Manchester news site.

I found out by pure chance since I was so peed off at the way they were dealing with the sale of my house that I decided to check whether others were having the same problem. Um, oh yes !

I have thankfully only lost the fee deposit of £125 but others have lost many thousands, and my heart goes out to them. I am now sitting here surrounded by a stack of boxes and the prospect of finding a local solicitor to take on the work. Hopefully my buyer won't lose interest and back out. Since I had also arranged to travel to France to rent while we searched for a house to buy, this has also all been put on hold.

At the moment, I am too relieved that I found out about this before any serious money changed hands to be angry but that will come, no doubt.

Now, does anyone know how I can get my puny £125 back ?

Usuallly you would have to complain to the complaints department of your solicitor but since you cant do that...! You log your complaint here http://www.legalcomplaints.org.uk/how-to-contact-us.page

Why is Nasir Ilyas still living with his wife (Asma) if we are led to believe that they are divorced????? They have been seen numerous times with their child entering and leaving the home that they have shared for some time now. Do not feel sorry for her as she was money laundering officer (what a joke) and was well aware of what was happening with the accounts and this will be proven when the investigation takes place.

I was unfortunate to appoint these mugs also. It is a pain in the backside esp since a month has been wasted and it is only me as a FTB (and what a bite in the bum I got) and the sellers as they found a vacant property.

Does anyone know if there is a way I can find out exactly how far they got, if indeed they did anything! I don't want to have to pay out for land registry etc again if it has already been done.

Hope that we can all get our issues resolved asap, but am sure SLA have their hands full with this one.

Has anybody been able to get through to anybody at Stirling-Law, I've not even been able to get through to the website and they currently have my file from the birmingham and can't get through on phone or email?

At least you were told who your file was going to. All I got was an out of office from the Birmingham office then sod all since.
