i know nasir, he is brilliant. you people are jealous of him!0

In reply to message #539 don't treat our problems with such disdain, his actions are nothing to be jealous of.
I am initially responding because I was told the week before they closed down that my details were being passed onto Stirling Law and was told they would contact me. This never happened and despite a number of attempts to speak, their phone was never answered. I tried again today (0161 624 5777) but the line was just dead! Are they linked to Wolstenholmes and also been shut down? DWF has a lot of work to do!0 -
The same thing happened at WH, the phones went down and then they were closed down!
The wool is being pulled over your eyes again people. It is not the correct practice for WH to pass your files to another solicitor, here is info on Stirling Law http://www.lawsociety.org.uk/choosingandusing/findasolicitor/view=lawfirmdetails.law?orgid=522039&searchType=L, http://wck2.companieshouse.gov.uk/dea9034672c14363b51329ae9854d6dc/compdetails, http://www.jordans.co.uk/CompanyIndex/s/st/sti/07022317/stirling_law_limited.html, its a worst situtation that being with WH. Three solicitors and 1 regulated principle for the hundreds of files that have been transferred and they were only formed 17th September 2009?! Another sub company of WH?? I THINK SO
The reason I put Imrans number again as someone did earlier is for you to all realise that you should find a local solicitor to take over your cases, use the Law Society search to find one and for the love of god, search for online reviews! Ask their advice in what to do next or ask for professional advice from the SRA directly. Time is money
RE: Home Solicitors, does this sound familiar? http://www.ciao.co.uk/Home_Solicitors_LLP__Review_5886960
and they were formed 7th August 2009 http://www.ukdata.com/numbers/OC347786.html0 -
a message for user mal_rafiq:
you are not malik rafiq. you are just an idiot who is trying to cause friction between nasir ilyas and malik rafiq. that is unfair. why are you bringing nasir ilyas's personal life into this. this forum is for the people who have lost their money in thier dealings with WH. What need is there to bring somebodies private life into this. people dont need to know about that. you are simply a jealous brat who has nothing better to do. so what if nasir ilyas is drining around in mercs and bentleys. that is his problem not yours. why dont you work for your merc/bentley.
this forum has an objective. please stick to it.
i know both nasir ilyas and malik rafiq. malik rafiq would you write comments like these.

Not to belittle everyone else who is having trouble, but my solicitors actually went bust 2 days before we were supposed to exchange...
http://www.getreading.co.uk/business/s/2062058_partners_property_deal_sinks_willmetts_solicitors
The people working there were great, and called me to get me to collect my file (I am led to believe they got into trouble for that - I heard that one partner wanted to take the files and presumably use them to start a new client base).
Got everything sorted with new solicitors pretty quickly - in fact quicker than our buyers who still couldn't get a mortgage offer organised, nor their solicitors who didn't seem capable of picking up a phone.
Good luck to those of you caught up with HS or WH.0 -
BBC news are reporting on a £50 million scam related to 2006 where the people having now been charged. Look how long its taken to build the case.
Three years on and it looks like WH are upto no good. Any astute person in the housing sector is aware of how various scams works. there are numerous ways of robbing people/banks in the property sector. eg low conveyancing fees will attract a swarm of customers with the help of google to build up hefty clients' account, which can disappear to foreign accounts.
Discovery made a comment which seems to tie everything up.I dont wish to alarm you all too much, but Wolstenholmes is the current venture of two brothers, who last year scammed off millions when their previous business Dialamobile went bust.Sorry have been too busy to get back sooner.
There are a few issues that I am trying to get clarified.
The firm certainly has not been trading for over 200 years under the current owners and may not have been in existence until a very short while ago. The individuals are regulated and in this case only 2 solicitors , the rest are assistants.
This whole set up was to trade initially and then shut down and disappear. As stated earlier, this is not the first time these individuals have performed in such manner albeit in a different industry.
The SRA are aware of them , but its a case of chasing them now. Where the money is located is a question many are asking.
Facts. Anybody care to differ?0 -

Moongate's gone rather quiet after post #512sloughflint wrote: »You seem to have quite a bit of inside knowledge there moongate. So could you shed light to my post #486?0 -
A quick update on Sterling Law, I've just managed to speak to somebody there.
The reason there was no answer yesterday was due to a line being cut which also cut off access to there building. The snow has also caused a major problem with only for people in the office at 9.19 on 5/1/09 but they have sent out a 4x4 to pick up everybody else, so hopefully if anybody needs them they will be available today at some point.0 -
In response to Sloughflint - in particular that 'moongate has gone quiet'
well as i have previsously said, i have a job - not within the law sector - and being an ex-employee and knowing what they are like, i was trying to help people, especially people who are not local. Well i am not going to come on here and just spout crap - so i am sorry if i am quiet but thats because nothing has happened particuarly over the weekend. But if you are trying to make something out of it, by assuming that i am not on here because i have something to hide - then wrong!! i won't bother passing on further information. For the record i have nothing to hide i was only trying to help - so good luck to everyone and goodbye.0 -
Has anybody been able to get through to anybody at Stirling-Law, I've not even been able to get through to the website and they currently have my file from the birmingham and can't get through on phone or email?
Here's some good advice, ditch Stirling Law they are in cahoots with Wolstenholmes. I have also complained to the SRA about them also. I doubt you will get your file back!0
