  • Not had a lot of time to come online lately. Have got quite a few more bits in the sales. Yesterday I was in Primark and they had body puffs in a flower shape, cherise colour "petals" and a purple centre. Look really funky, £1.50 reduced to 50p so have a few of those put away. They also had some make up bits reduced to 50p and £1, might be good for teenagers?

PrincessWoo - what are these teabag holders you're making? Sound interesting, especially as I'm a big tea drinker :)

Forgot to say...........made yet more little gift bags to conceal what is really a 'silly' pressie and had a go at my first post it note holder :j
I've used some corrogated card (dark grey) I've had for ages so haven't cut out the bit where the pen goes -much too fiddly with this card, I'll try that next time with different card- so just need to put some sort of 'masculine' embellishment on it -it'll do for my son .............I was that thrilled........:T

Mary do you have a template for the gift bags? If not how are you making them. i would love to make some and also so gift boxes but don't know where to start:D

I don't have a template for my bags.....they're really just like envelopes but without the flap and in various sizes. If you look at an enveope (not the ones with the pointed flap, the A5 ones that are more square) and see how they're done, or better still, take one apart and you've got a template. Then I punch a hole in the top and thread a ribbon through and its done.
Hope that helps.......not very good at describing things

Giggle, I've just had a really good look at your blog and I just have to say WOW! You make some fantastic things, I'm so impressed. I think I might try the Pint of Socks for my Father in law as it's his birthday next month and he is unbelievably difficult to buy for.

Thanks so much for sharing your blog, I now have it saved in my favourites :j

Few more bargains for me today, i didnt go shopping for them they kind of found me.

I was running some errands in the city centre and walked past the charity shop, i never walk past the charity shops as they are no where near the car park but it was easier to park the car and walk to where i needed to be.

So as i walked past there were 4 brand new in the night garden books, including lift the flap books all priced at 50p each - i almost bought them new for their full RRP the other day. They were practically jumping into my arms as i walked past the shop window.

Picked up 3 brand new christmas story books for 50p each and a drinking games set with shot glasses and a book for £1.

So moral of the story is - take a different route and find bargains you never knew existed.
:TIs thankful to those who have shared their :T
