Forgot to say...........made yet more little gift bags to conceal what is really a 'silly' pressie and had a go at my first post it note holder :j
I've used some corrogated card (dark grey) I've had for ages so haven't cut out the bit where the pen goes -much too fiddly with this card, I'll try that next time with different card- so just need to put some sort of 'masculine' embellishment on it -it'll do for my son .............I was that thrilled........:TI would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

I have been a busy bee the past few days. Had a nice trip to the craft shop on saturday courtesy of DF - i spend a small fortune but got loads of fab stuff and i have been like a child in a sweetie shop all weekend.
I have made 45 tea bag holders but i have only decorated about 15 of them so far. 30 are for my son's school friends and will have a couple of kids tattoo's in and 15 of them are for family. And ive made a few post it note holders and bubble wrap cards.
I'm totally addicted to making the post it note holders. There so simple and look really good.
For those who are making the post it note holders the mini sharpie permanant markers fit perfectly and they are on offer in tesco for £1.50 for 4 (half price at the minute). All the other pens i looked at werent quite fat enough and kept falling through.
When DF gets of the other computer i shall post a few pics of my progress. Hopefully they will insprie a few of you.
Also to those who have sent me PM's my apologises for not replying but they have only just shown up in my inbox and i will answer then shortly.:TIs thankful to those who have shared their :T

Morning All
Well cross stitch is coming along nicely - should be finished by the end of the week hopefully then just need to get it framed up before November.
Will make a start at some point on my nans diary, photo album and notepad but want to leave this until little one is back in school as I know he'll distract me and ill mess it up so that's got to be done then.
Have found out (think i mentioned it previously) that my 18 year old cousin is now living with my sister due to issues at home so I have her to buy fro at Xmas too - don't want my sister sat opening presents with the kids and her having nothing so have decided to do her a retro sweet box and might make her a little pamper kit with face masks and some smellies etc.
Also will do a retro sweetie box for my sister too - she'll only eat my cousins otherwise! and might make one of these for my step brother and sister too - was going to send them money and a selection box but think these are more appropriate for an 18 year old and a 14 year old.
Right off to update present list and might even have a look round for another cross stitch chart etc - am really getting back into it now. Fancy doing a table cloth and coasters for my nan to line her writing hamper with.Time to find me again0 -
well done with the cross stitch, you have loads more patience than i will ever have, i'd have given up on it many years ago.
Im not keen on the keyring holder, i havent got anything that will punch a hole through everything and i cant justify buying a gadget just for 1 or 2 holes to be punched.
I couldnt get pics added last night photobucket kept crahing on me and when it was working my internet connection decided to take a break. Ive only had 2 hours sleep thanks to baby so i am in no fit state to try battling with it again today.
DD wooden dolls house has arrived this morning from studio, looks great but we darent take it all out of the box in case we cant get it all back in, but we have taken the piece out that has her name on it to check the spelling is correct.
So thats both kids main christmas presents sorted out, and quite a lot of other presents sorted now too.:TIs thankful to those who have shared their :T

I popped in here a few pages ago saying I was going too read the whole thread and I haven't got around to it yet!! I need to put aside an hour or two LOL .....somehow.
Like I said earlier, I've a large male dominated family with at least 8 presents to buy for men and I've decided it's all going to be online this year rather than trapsing around town. I don't think you can go far wrong with a nice wrist watch for many men (or perhaps even a pocket watch which are more unusual an dinteresting). Though my OH has six now - one for every occasion and all very different.
There are some really good gadgets out there too - not just of the type that will entertain him for a few hours around Christmas. I've seen a little circular GPS device for my brother who goes to large motorcycle racing events. It allows him to find his bike amongst the thousands parked up. He clicks it when he leaves his bike and then it will point him back to it with an arrow and distance reading. Cool eh? great man gadget. Anyway I'm rambling. Must get back to work for a bit. :hello:0 -
Morning All,
I was thinking of making a towel cake (i'm sure that isn't the name everyone calls them but i'm having a blonde moment:rotfl:) but using tea towels as it is to go with a chef hamper. can someone tell me (or post a link) to how they are done:D. they seem to be different size towels rolled round and put on top of each other put how do they stay in place. Any examples would be much appreciated
P.S. i am making my first lot of christmas cards today.V 12500 B 8300 N 1900 Oct £51/£1550 -
