I got a fabulous gift for my DD in the sainsburys online half price sale. That is all I needed to get for her so I only have a few wee bits to go now and I will be done!

  • I'm thinking of making a Vegan food hamper for my bro and his g/f. Has anyone ever done this, and fairly cheap? I've been looking around and it all seems sooooo pricey!

I'm really really struggling to find cheap containers for my hampers :-( Any ideas?

On a good note...I ordered my cello on ebay yesterday afternoon and received it this morning...28 metres!

I popped into poundland this morning and they are selling canvas pop up containers - they are blue and have footballs on them, the lady at the tills said they are expecting a design for girls too. They are a good size and square in shape!

I haven't, no. However, I'm a member of a vegetarian/vegan forum so might be able to help out a bit.. with things you don't expect to be vegan but are! Maybe they wont realise these things are vegan either (or maybe they will - either way they probably wouldn't think you'd know these things are).
Not sure what type of things they're into so not sure if I'll be of any help but..

    jelly tots
    sweet and sour pot noodle
    hobnobs
    Fry's mint chocolate bars
    starburst
    foxes glacier mints

Also things like Co-Op american hard gums are vegan, as are a few of their other sweets I think (these are usually really hard to find veggie or vegan!)

If you look in places like Holland and Barratt or other small health food stores you might have luck. The "free from" aisles in supermarkets often have vegan items too, but you need to check the other ingredients as well really.

    Hi everyone!

Can you help? Hubby has asked for a specific eau de toilette for Crimbo, but I've no idea the best online stores (perfume specialist or otherwise) to start looking! He wants Paco Rabanne Ultra Violet (eau de toilette) 100ml.

I feel out of my depth here. ASk me to find the best prices on books, DVDs or games, and I'm fine!! lol

Any help or suggested sites would be wonderful. Thank you!!

My MIL is Vegan so i always look out for things for her. I got her a vegan cookbook (i think it was from wilkinsons) and is was only a couple of quid so you could get one of those. Home Bargains had blue dragon tofu blocks in recently that were a bargain price of 29p!! They had long shelf dates too.
