  • I get the feeling my budget is gonna go out of the window.

I have never been able to STOP buying - even when i have everything i need.

But i am being good - i'm not buying every bargain i see only the ones that are suitable. Unlike other years where i would have bought it and then thought of who to give it to later.

I really want to start wrapping presents up but i would forget what i have bought and end up buyung something again.

Plus the kids would see the presents wrapped up at some point and get all excited and its way to early to be dealing with excitement from the kids. Its bad enough dealing with it all december.

Same here Princess!!! I keep forgetting what I have bought for DS and having new ideas in my mind all the time! I also keep forgetting that other family members will be buying him things too

I'm going to wait until December to wrap - one evening when DS is asleep, its cold outside and I'm in my pyjamas with a nice warm hot chocolate and a mince pie! Yum!!

I've just booked my combi boiler service too (for 3rd Nov) which unfortunately means I will need to find new hiding places for all our relatives presents - they're currently hiding in our walk in wardrobe which also houses the boiler!! I don't want to leave them hanging around when the engineer is here because DS will be getting his hands all over them!!

I've put my dried fruits to soak overnight so I can make my Christmas cake tomorrow :T Also got my £10 M&S gift voucher for my grandparents hamper.

I really need to get the list checked now, I know there is only a few things left to get and I'd love to get them in the next few weeks!

Welcome to our new members :j
  • I could never wrap Christmas presents now, it's a lovely ritual reserved for December on a rare occassion when everyone is out and I can sit in front of the fire and take up the whole living room floor, with some Christmas music on.... love it :)
D'you know, in 900 years of space and time, I've never met anyone who wasn't important

  • Hi girls
Really like the hamper idea and would love to make "Chocoholic" one for MIL and "Golf" for FIL.
    So far found only http://www.play.com/Gadgets/Gadgets/4-/8706148/Naughty-But-Nice-Lip-Gloss-Heaven/Product.html
    and http://www.play.com/Gadgets/Gadgets/4-/8706154/Naughty-But-Nice-Cake-Towel/Product.html
If the total price for one hamper would be £15-20 that would be great.
    Has anyone have any ideas?
    Thanks

Taking responsibility one penny at a time!
  • wardy - I'm sure I saw spongebob magnets in poundland and also this might sound weird, as he is a boy, but new look usually have spongebob things - light up pens, notebooks etc - maybe you could have a look for anything unisex?

ps: Know EXACTLY what everyone means with the bargains etc I keep buying little things just incase I haven't got them enough and they are disappointed on Christmas Day! lol!

    Hi guys,

I'm trying to do a hamper for my niece and nephew for Christmas. My niece is into Hannah Montana, so easy peasy - loads of stuff around but I'm really struggling with my nephew who loves spongebob. I've got him pyjamas (primark) and some socks (poundland) but am struggling for other boy related spongebob stuff - any ideas:confused:

Want to bulk it out as much as possible, and usually spend about £20, so he's got at least another £10.

My niece has loads - pjs, socks, mug, books, dvd, even a hannah montana box to put it all in!

    thanks:beer:

argos have got a spongebob rug - and a spongebob watch.
    :jFlylady and proud of it:j
