  • I've just ordered this fishing book for my FIL on Tesco entertainment.

    Tesco.com - Page not found

It's 95p with free delivery. Amazon have it reduced from £16.99 down to £14.44. So at 95p it's a bargain for a hard back book.

moneysavingmumofone - you're not the only one - I seem to have been 'doing christmas' all year and the idea was I'd be done by end of august..........then I keep seeing other ideas of things to make so I made it 'end of september'...............now I keep finding stuff I started and haven't finished
Think I'm getting there though...........least the spare room thats full of stuff is now in proper piles for people.
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

They had loads of Queen albums in my local charity shops last weekend! Once vinyl gets a bit scratched, I guess people just don't want it any more.

Do you have a local Freecycle network? It might be worth putting an advert on that asking if anyone has a Queen LP on vinyl which you could have for free .... you might be lucky, you never know!

yes i may do that, going town tomorrow so may have a browse in the charity shops rarely look at the music bits and if i dont find anything will post on freecycle, thanks.
  • I had a go at making the vinyl bowls this afternoon couldnt get it to go into a flower shape the sides stuck together:confused: what did i do wrong? here is a pic of my bowl

I wonder if it was because you have used a 45rpm (single) record, which is much smaller? I used a 33rpm (album size), which also didn't have a whopping great hole in the centre the way yours has. With an album, there's so much more vinyl that I suppose it can manage to drape itself a bit better.

Sorry - I just re-read my post and its a big misleading. I got the Where's Stig book from Tesco (but posted the link to explain what it was). I think it was £4.49 but it is brand new stock - only a few were out. HTH xx

I put mine back in the oven to warm up again once or twice while I was moulding it - the heat re-softens it enough to keep working on it.
