Ask 3 for 500 mins. Average 18.50 a month, 12 months contract with Nokia 6230, if you are an existing customer.

They don't give you straight away, keep talking, and then ask them, i repeat ask them, for this deal.

Best phone, nokia 6230, best minutes, 500 anytime any network, Best price 18.50, via automatic credit from the company itself at the end of 9th month.

Easily the BEST DEAL OUTTHERE for existing 3 customers. :)

    OK - an update...

I have now waited the allotted time to receive my cash back cheques from Simply 3G (also allowing time for the cheques to arrive in the post), however have not received anything yet. I contacted them this morning and they advised they are suffering a 10-14 day delay and to allow for this.

I am going to allow for this delay, but I'm starting to get a bad feeling about it... I will post back if/when I know more.

    Thanks,

    iecuk

Are you sure? Didn't think the 6230 was 3G.

Dial to save are doing a nokia 3210 on t mobile relax 35, 500 mins and 200 texts, 12 months free line rental via cashback. Mobile rainbow are also doing a samsung e370 also on the same deal again with t- mobile, anyone any thoughts on which is the better phone. I've been with 3 for 4 years and am currently on talk and text 600 and coming up to the end of my contract, they've not been able to offer me any deals that are competitive to keep my business so i think i'll be voting with my feet

    Update.

Since I was the OP on this post, I thought it fair to update you.

3 played with me for a bit longer. They offered me a deal for 500mins and 100 texts for £18 per month for an 18 month contract. However they would not shift on that.

Hence I wrote to their CEO thanking him for sending my porting codes for my numbers and informing him that 3 seemed unable to come close to the deal.

I was then contacted again and offered the above deal for £15 per month.

The choice of phones and the 18 month contract put me off, not to mention that @£5 per month, I would be paying £60 per year per contract more than the net cost of the contract I'm on.

The deal I've done is a V3 with 500anytime xnet minuits and 200 texts with T Mobile. After cashback, going through You at Work and recommending myself, that works out at less then £10 per month.

Although I like the V3 it does look a bit flimsy for every day use for me (I'm in property maintenance) so I'll be using an old V50, left over from an old contract that is the size of a matchbox car and is oddly enough locked to T Mobile!

If you are not looking to upgrade your phone and what 'reliable' cashback, CPW currently have an LGu8330 (?) on a clearance deal, 400 mins, 250 txt plus vid mins and £5 downloads, 10 months free on a 12mth contract - normally £35 per month.

If you are happy to keep your existing phone then it's a great deal (you might even like the LG for all I know).

Use quidco and get £30 referral back, meaning you pay £40 over the year - sell of the LG for a tenner and you are back to £30 - or just £2.50 per month

Can't supply the link as their site has just closed for maintenance, but look in clearance phones and you should find it easily enough.

    Very reliable on cashbacks too.

The V3 actually can take quite a battering before marks start to show on the metal casing. I've dropped mine on pavement twice with no marks and no apparent damage :D

I received a call from 3 a week ago last Tuesday offering me an upgrade with a credit on account and new phone (£180, Nokia N70 on an 18 month contract). The caller agreed to make a note on my account and allow me to check around for other deals and call back.

After 4 or 5 brief calls this week, I have managed to settle a deal with 3 for an upgrade on my two accounts. They have agreed to £192.50 credit, a Nokia E61 and a 12 month contract (VTT 700 - £35 a month) for each account, which will begin from the end of my current contract (9th October). I intend to keep our current handsets (Nokia 6680) so should be able to rasie an extra £150 for each E61. All in all, it brings the annual total to £77.50 or £6.46 a month.

My goal was to get £210 credit on the account (6 months free) and an E61, so I am quite pleased :)

I appreciate there are better deals about for "New Customers" on other handsets (Nokia 6280 etc) and there are even some upgrade deals about, but these all involve 'cashback deals' which seem to be becoming ever more unreliable. I am starting a new job on Monday and wanted to get all of this out of the way, so not having to worry about porting / changing numbers and whether bills are delivered or not (a recent problem - I can't thank Simply3G enough for being understanding where 3 haven't been) suits me fine.

Anyway - I just wanted to let people know:

    - Don't take the first offer that comes along
    - Don't be pushed into an 18 month contract (all but one of the 18 month deals they offered worked out more expensive than the 12 month deals anyway)
    - Don't be afraid to ask them to make a note of the deal on the account and then call back and ask for more half an hour later

    HTH,

    iecuk
