3 seem to want me to stay with them...
....which would suit me down to the ground if they came up with a reasonable offer.
Someone phoned me out of the blue and offered to keep me on the current plan I have (500 free xtalk anytime mins and 100 free texts) for the current price of £30 a month for the following 18 months. I have 2 months of my contract to run, so they would have started the contract from that date, and effectively finished the contract I was on.
They offered a credit back scheme, which gave me around £150 back in credit on around month 15, which seemed to me a bit of a con, as I would have had to stay with them longer than the 18 months to use up all my credit with my usage.
Can I expect a better offer from them as my contract drawers to a close?
The deal I got with dialaphone including the dialaphone cashback for this package, works out to around £3.00 per month, yes that's three pounds per month on a 12 month contract!
So far, despite a few problems I have received all my cashbacks from dialaphone, so I'd be happy to go with them again. However, to keep my number I would have to go to another provider for a period of time, and none seem so good as 3 for what we want.
Thanks
H

You could port your number out to a PAYG phone for a couple of weeks and then sign up with 3 as a new customer. You'd get a better deal and a new phone (which you could either treat as an upgrade or sell on). When you sign up ask to port your old number from the PAYG phone back to your new contract. It may be inconvenient for a while but will save you money!"Cheap", "Fast", "Right" -- pick two.0

Could be a cowboy call centre pretending to be 3g to try and con you. Best thing would be to ring up 3g directly and speak to them and see whether that is the best they can offer you. Otherwise you're better off getting one of the many web offers floating about which are a lot cheaper and on 12 mth contracts.0

Thanks for your replies.
I didn't think you could port numbers to or from a payg sim.
J - I think you're right, I'll just wait until next month then start looking....

Further to my previous post, I found this.....
http://www.dialaphone.co.uk/offer/35RELAX12/
500 free x talk mins anytime mins and 200 texts (most of which I won't use).
It ticks all the right boxes, and after the redemptions, works out at £175 for the year or less than £15 per month (not including the £20 I get for recommending myself).
Is it just me or have dialaphone stopped doing their extr £10 FOR buying online?

If you're looking to stay with 3 and keep your number, why not give these guys a go:

I had no problems with my upgrades. I am about to claim my first cashback installment (the 6th bill came today) so if you want I will post back with the results?
