The start of cheap LCD TV's and its Aldi

27th Dec. Aldi are selling a Tevion 27" LCD TV with three year swap out warranty for £599. No match on price anywhere as yet but it could be the start.

You'd be better off getting a 15" VGA screen (TFT) for around 120 and adding a 50 quid tuner box.

I looked about a year ago & found that LCDs couldn't be used with tuner boxes because of various technical problems (sync rate?, refresh rate?)

Any pointers - especially if it means you could use a freeview box as the tuner.
