We'ved been there when it's been supposedly manic, several times when big fights have been on. We've hit a fight, Kentucky Derby and Cinco de Mayo all on the same weekend and didn't have a problem. However we tend to keep away from MGM if there's a fight on, etc.
We've usually got good rates on the room with booking well in advance.
140,000 rooms in LV and an MGM boxing arena that will hold about 15,000 for a fight (a few more thousand for a concert) ...we've never ever noticed a problem finding a room when a fight has been on.
1 in 6 visitors to LV are there for a convention and with over 22,000 conventions a year, you gotta watch out (and avoid) the big ones!0 -
MarchThanks to you both. We've been twice over Labour Day and that didn't bother us in the slightest. Longer taxi lines, but it was fine. We don't know much about April though, so thought I'd ask some experts so I know in advance if it'll be a nightmareLove MSE, Las Vegas and chocolate!0

hiya Mooky we did Easter weekend this year (so did a couple of others i think?!) and it was fine
didn't seem to be a big deal in the slightest... i'm pretty certain I asked a taxi driver what it was like and he seemed to indicate it was no different to any other time in Vegas
only real sign of a Vegas Easter was this thing from Walmart (sorry, i squashed the writing... you can guess what it said tho!):
and this at the Patisserie @ Bellagio:0 -
MarchThanks nvh - I do remember seeing that donut before :rotfl:
Never thought about Easter displays in Bellagio and at the Conservatory. Enjoyed seeing the xmas decorations last year, so that'll be a bonus. Hopefully have my flights booked in a couple of weeks then I'll need to see if we have any money left for this year - lolLove MSE, Las Vegas and chocolate!0 -
AugustWe were also in Vegas Easter weekend-didn't make any difference and we still got really good room rates. It was moderately busy but nothing awfulI Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

SeptemberHi Guys,
It's all happening - the $ hitting 1.70 with Crown & Le Reve at $79 :T
Quick question for those who have seen Le Reve - the offer seems to be on blocks C, D & E - is it a 360 degree show or is 1 one of these better than the other?
Is now the time to get the $ sorted for Septemeber with Crown or do you think should wait another week or 2?

It's here I think.
http://www.vegas.com/incl/resortfees.htmlDoes remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

It's a small theatre and in the round - I don't really think there's a bad seat in the place.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0
