    FIRST TIMER TO VEGAS
After reading the posts on this forum, could anyone tell me about VIATOR? I have been to Florida in the past and have had the discount vouchers that you find everywhere. Is it cheaper to get deals over here or wait till I am out there.
no harm in waiting . you can pick and choose your company and when you want to go

I am thinking of going to Cirque Soleil and another show. Anybody any ideas as to which one.

OR try LE REVE at the Wynn . A cirque type show but truly amazing show . try the links in the guide on page 1 to see if some deals are about , or wait and see if they are available at the discount booths when you get there
I am staying on East Harmon avenue and do not intend to hire a car so which is the best way to travel around Vegas.
Taxi or Bus . but hire car would be much better if staying on Harmon

I know this is a long shot, but the OH wants to go and look at motorhomes!!! Any ideas please?
:huh::huh::huh::huh: to rent ?? you can hire RV's and Circus Circus has a RV park .

I like to shop but any ideas on good bargain places. Possibly an outlet centre.
    Read page 1

I've seen bits and pieces of George Wallace and he does seem to be really good

Me and DH went to see him last year and he was fabulous!! The entire show is on for about 2 hours (bit of magic first) but just before he comes on there is a screen you can watch and a old lady comes on the screen giving opinions and advice to peoples questions (sort of a show in a show) which is also hilarious.

Some ppl have commented that he is a bit pricey (it's about $60 each but tbh that's cheap compared with some of the shows on the Strip) but he is so funny and entertaining it's well worth it. He even gives prizes and money away at certain points in the show too.
You can also buy merchandise at the end of the show, and he serves you and autographs it too to say thanks for going to see him. He's actually a very nice man.

okay New years is fast approaching and if we continue as we have in past years , this thread will be continued afresh with a sticky and my guide at the front .

it may or may not have come to your attention , that it has been while since i personally last visited Las Vegas . there have been very good reasons for this , me and Mrs Trets have been trying very hard to start a family ( so far unsuccessfully)

i am very aware that every day my knowledge gets a bit more out of date , and that with no current plans to be able to visit LV , this will only increase :embarasse .

take for example the "defending the caveman" show , when i last went it was at The Golden Nugget , i was unaware it had moved to the Trashy Castle .

I'm happy to still contribute this board where i can , but i want to know if you guys who are regular posters here and who still visit Vegas are okay with my guide being the start of this thread ?? and are you guys okay with me still posting , when i might be posting on experiance that is now not fresh .

if anyone wants to take control of my guide i am more than happy to send you the code so it will be yours do with what you want . or i can simply repost it for the 2010 thread and rely on you guys to let me know when it needs updating .

all opinions and feedback on this are welcome , my only real goal is to help MSE visitors to LV to save money and have great trip . if you feel i need to take a step back for that to continue than i am more than happy to do so .
    :A:A:A

i won't be vanishing from here what ever , i love reading people trip reports and i very much enjoy being part our little LV community .:smiley:

ditto Stew and pebbles, trets...you started this crazy thread a few years ago - I'd much rather you kept it going as you have for so long. :)
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

Thumbs up for trets just reposting the initial guide:T. Keep posting mate, and I am sure the guide can be tweeked a bit at the begining of the year.
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

No way! trets - this is your thread!
You deserve an award for starting this invaluable source of information.
I, for one, have learned and saved so much from simply reading it for the last 3/4 years - so a BIG THANK YOU!
I am sure regular visitors (you know who you are) will post up to date info - wont you?
Thanks again trets and for everyone else who take time out of their day to post deals and suggestions and trip reports etc.
    Steff ;)
