Anyone thinking of getting a good cheap Buffet at the Sahara, tough luck, it has now closed for good!! Reason was low sales
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

Went once and thought it was terrible tbh. If you're that far up the strip go to the Main Street Station... there's a good cheap buffet! (Especially the sat / sun brunch).

Noticed when I was there earlier in the month a few casinos (Strat, Excaliber, Luxor(?)) were doing a price for all day buffet eating. The price was $25 - $30 depending on the casino. Got to be good value if you eat like a horse and aren't too picky about the surroundings!

No you don't, but it only lasts 2 years, so unless you can remember when you first did it you can update it again and will get another 2 years. There is going to be a charge of £10? from sometime in the new year, so we will be updating Tracys' ESTA just before the date it is implemented.

The renewal date doesn't start again from the date you amend it, it retains the original expiry date. I have updated ours 3 times and the expiry date remains the same.

Yes I would recommend applying for an ESTA before booking flights just in case there are any problems. Be aware that they don't email a copy to you so it is important to note the reference number in case you need to amend it.

It is not compulsory to amend the flight and accommodation details, but I like to do it just to keep everything right.

Ok, so it's essentially a pointless process then! :P

Not really - arguably it could save someone who would be denied entry into the US a trip...in theory, it would flag up an issue well in advance (and before flights were purchased)...assuming the passenger answers the ESTA questions honestly and would also have answered the questions on the green form honestly, of course.

Hi guys. I'm just starting to think about packing we leave on Monday and it looks like the mink lined bloomers will be the order of the day! Can anyone tell me the best way to drive from the car rentals on Gillespie to the car parking at the MGM Grand, as from the sound of it there are still some road works goingg on. We don't land until around 6.30p.m so any heads up will be great as I'm not looking forward to driving in the dark when I don't know where the hotel car park is, as I've only ever walked to this casino or used the monorail in the past to get there.

    thanks

Someone who has been more recently might have an alternate route, but if it were me, I would head toward the strip (it's well sign-posted)...turn right...carry on until Mandalay Bay Road (it may be called Hacienda on the right)...turn right...carry on on that road - it will curve to your left then right (you'll basically be driving along the north east corner of the airport...eventually it turns into Koval...at Tropicana turn left and just drive up to MGM valet - check in is right near there if I remember correctly. I personally wouldn't self park on arrival at any hotel, and least of all MGM as the complex is so big.

If you go to google maps and put in 89109, you can zoom in to see the route I'm babbling about well enough. :)

I'd choose that route too. Can't remember the name of the street either, but if you miss the first (best) one, the next one will join up with ferf's route.
