Also just completed advanced info on BA site, and ESTA, like Luci I have had a flight time change, but its ok for us as we are driving 2.5 hrs to airport anyway.

Next question - Is it worth £20 each way PP for a seat selection on BA? The 777 is mainly 3-3-3 with only one or two sets of two seats?
If they have a row of 2 seats then i would definatly think it was worth the money. you never know, you might end up with me sitting next to you:eek:
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

    Hi Everyone,

Just got back today from 4 nights at Planet Hollywood. Haven't got time to do a trip report now but I've just read Ferfs excellent tp and wanted to let you know what I thought of the slots payouts this trip.

I always play the $1 Wheel of Fortunes.
Paris - went there last Friday night and within a few minutes had a spin and it was $200! On Sunday my OH had a go in there and lost while I was playing blackjack. Half hour later 2 $1000 spins came up within 5 minutes of each other! I've never seen 2 come up so close together before but those 4 machines are always busy so perhaps they payout more because of that.
Planet Hollywood - not a penny and we put enough in there trying! Hardly any spins and they were never many people playing them.
Ceasers Palace - This is where my lucky machine is! Tried a $100 in there and kept getting spins but eventually played it through. Had a feeling it might payout so put in another $100. I'd only played a bit through when the 5x - double - 7 came up. I knew it was a win but didn't know what , the counter went up and up and up ... $900! Went back the next day to try and play the same machine again but it was really busy. Someone came off but this old lady beat me to it! Within 5 minutes the $1000 came up on one of the other machines but I swear if I'd of got on there in would of been me! If anyone else thinks certain ones are lucky this one is the last one on the right on the side facing the cashier. I had the $1000 out of this one in 2007 and did OK on it when I was there in September.
Harrahs - didn't win anything big but they were spinning reguarly and walked away a bit up.
NYNY / Luxor - They have the new ones in there. Can't quite describe what they are like but they made strange noises and I didn't like them so didn't stay long. Didn't win either.
Venetian / TI - Only played a bit but I did get my money back.

Sorry this is a bit of a ramble! I think I might be getting over my love of the slot machines. I've had a great time playing blackjack this trip so I think from now on I'll play more on that / roulette and just do the occasional flutter on the slots.

And we finally got around to going to Mon Ami Gabi - it was fantastic.

I don't know about the suites owned by the Signature themselves but certainly the one I was in didn't have a computer in, I used my PDA when I was there which was fine for me.

it's also the reason I get put off booking a train to go to / return from Heathrow :( never mind any delays that may also be suffered on our trusty rail networks :(

Potential delays on the journey to the airport (by car, tube, train) are why we always stay at an airport hotel overnight before the flight...the first time we did it because parking + hotel (Hilton Gatwick) was only £20 more than parking on its own so seemed like a good idea...and once we did that once, we never looked back. It's so much nicer than getting up at stupid o'clock to drive to the airport we think...much more gentle start to the holiday (and seems like starting the holiday a night early, too). Though I suppose if we don't park at the airport and drive home we take a taxi - so we don't have the potential issue on the return leg at least.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

The rooms I have stayed in have had a wireless keyboard in the drawer, and you could connect by selecting the internet option through the tv screen. I usually take my netbook anyways

I'm flying from Aberdeen. If the time change meant you wouldn't be able to make a connection, they would move you onto another connecting flight.

Me too. I thought that must be the case but just wanted to make sure!
