Do you have to use a credit card to book a hotel room, will they not accept debit cards? Do you also have to be over 21 to book?

Yes you can use a debit card, but be aware that they will want to put a hold on funds against it in case you want to charge to the room. Some hold $200.

If you don't want this hold tell them when you check in that you won't be charging to the room. However you won't be able to use services like internet access.

Most hotels require the person booking in to be 21 or over, but some accept 18 years olds. I think Luxor is one of them. You would need to check the T&C's on the hotel's website or give them a call.

BA are also cutting back to one bag at 23kgs too for bookings made from 7 October.

That doesn't read very well, so if I booked in July, for next May, I still have the old allowance? Or as I am travelling after 7th October I get a measly allowance?

As I understand it, as long as you booked before 7 October you get the original baggage allowance. I also booked flights for next May.

If we should fly with them after the change I think we will pay in advance for one extra bag at £32.

I thik we booked the same week, in the sale, was it 2 x 32 kgs pp at that time? They have amended all the baggage info on their website now, showing the same 23 kg for Europe and Long Haul.

Most Vegas hotels require the person reserving the room to be 21 - of course they won't know when you make the reservation but when you check in it could be a problem unless someone else in the party is over 21 and willing to be the lead on the booking.

You should be able to book with a debit card if by debit card you mean one that has a Visa or Mastercard logo on it.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

No it wasn't 32kgs, it was 23kgs. All carriers have been 23kgs for some time now.

the weights changed some time ago from 32kg to 23kg.

It wasnt the airlines, but the baggage handlers, for health & safety issues and reduce injuries, demanded maximum weights on each piece be 23kg

The free baggage is 23 kgs, but the maximum weight of one piece is still 32 kgs. You will pay excess baggage charges on any weight over 23 kgs.

Going to LV for the 2nd time in 4wks, cant wait!.. I want to get a pair of uggs while i'm there. I remember seeing them in the miracle mile, on a type of market stall near to the public loos at an entrance. Not sure if they're the real thing or not. Anyone got any experiance of purchasing them in LV?
