Was wondering if anyone can recommend the best place to book? hotel to stay at? shows/trips to do when we are there. how much to expect to pay for things. i was looking to take about 500dollars a day spending money would this be enough?
Thanks,

all the Info you need is in the Guide on the 1st Page .
your hotel will depend on your budget, again check out the links in post 1 to find a hotel deal . . post here when you see something you like @ a price that suits .
$500 a day is more than enough , though of course it depends on how much gambling you intended on doing .:ABetter in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:0 -

Info on success rate at Luxor here:
http://www.frontdesktip.com/las-vegas/luxor/
I've stayed at Luxor twice, once in a pyramid room (2003) and once in a pyramid spa suite(2004). I liked them at the time, but wouldn't stay there again, the rooms were very dark and showing their age even back then imo. The atrium is very cool though, and i love the location of Luxor as you have easy access to MB, NYNY and MGM. Check out the Titanic exhibition while you're there as well, its really worth a visit imo. Hope you have a great trip:D:starmod:C'est la vie:starmod:0 -
AugustHey All
Got a question regarding checking in to hotels, Though I'll explain the situation first which might make it easier to understand.
Planning a trip next year to Sin City. Its my 3rd time going so know what to expect n that. This time there is 5 people in total going.
Myself and the girlfriend
My friend and his girlfriend
and my friends girlfirend best friend.
My friends girlfriend and her friend want to go to San Francisco for a week then Vegas for a week. While the rest of us would rather spend longer in Vegas.
So what is planned is For the two girls to go San Fran for a week, the rest of us go to Vegas for 10 days.
The girls would fly and meet us in Vegas and spend the rest of the holiday with us and fly home together. Thats the plan at the moment.
I was wondering that since my friend will have his own room for 3 days before his girlfriend arrives, would his girlfriend be able to just move in to that room? Would they be requierd to recheck in to say that there is now two people in that room?
Also In total there would be 3 rooms. Would we be cheaper getting a multi bedroom suite in some places?
Thanks

October , NovemberThat's a very good point - when we stayed in NY we had quite a small hotel room for quite a lot of money relatively speaking. Food options as well are generally more expensive - sure you can get relatively cheap meals if you want but not of the quality you can in Vegas.
I suppose the casinos subsidizing everything really makes a difference.
Totally agree, we stayed at The Newyorker on 8th ave for 7 nights at Xmas and this was $1400 plus the cost of eating out is pricey. As we're going to Vegas in November, our hotel is half the price and we reckon the food will be cheaper.
We also know that the drinks will be cheaper (subsidised through our gambling!!!)0 -

very much doubt you will have a problem with this . rooms are sold as price per room when booking direct , with 3 as the maximum occupancy for a standard room (supplement is never charged for 2 in a room when you book direct ,going through a travel agent that's a different matter ) . you should mention it @ check in, but only so your friend can get two keys . the hotel won't care a jot if his other half is joining him later in the stay , it must happen pretty regular if you think about it .
a suite may be a good idea / worth investigating , please post back what sort prices and availabilty you find as it will be useful information .Better in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:0 -

Thanks trets for the the info! I'll do my best to report back.
I'm just trying to get an idea of arrangements we could do for 5 people. Though the Girls want to organise there own flights and Accommodation to both San Fran and Vegas. They are wanting to stay at the Luxor while the rest of us fancy a mid range like NyNY or TI etc. Just trying to find a cost effective way to do it.
Wish I found this form when I organised my last trip in 2007! Would have saved loads of cash compared to what was spent on that trip with the info I have picked up from here!!0 -
SeptemberThey are wanting to stay at the Luxor while the rest of us fancy a mid range like NyNY or TI etc. Just trying to find a cost effective way to do it.The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0

Hi,
Thanks for that expedia seem to be about the cheapest. I was looking at staying at the mgm grand. Is this hotel any good. i think its about 750pound for a week including flights, which seems reasonable. is this a good deal?
Thanks scott0 -
