10 Are there any sites, from experience, which are likely to generate lots of spam?
There are a few which have come to our collective attention as sites that, when used for comps, seem to generate lots of unwanted postal, email & phone call attention. These are listed below for your information, however, please do remember that this is only the collective opinion of other MSE Compers & does not necessarily reflect upon the sites themselves.

    2minutedraw
    4FreeUK
    ABCWins
    Clash Club/Clash media
    Club La Costa
    Consumer Lifestyles
    Consumer Opinions
Craftomatic Beds (Comps appear to be just a way to get a salesman into your home, especially if vulnerable/alone)
    Emailinform
    EZ Prize Giveaway
    Fair Exchange
    GetMeATicket
    GetYourBillsPaid
    GreatUKsurveys
    Guide2Win
    InstantPrizeDraw
    Just-Rewards
MyChild (pester with phone calls quite badly, but Compers have won with them - suggest do not give a phone number!)
    MyConsumer
    MyOffers
NoizeMakesEnemies (Care - your profile with name, address, phone number & email appear to be on show with no way to make it private!!)
    Opinioniser
Optimax (phone calls, letters & emails!)
Premier Christian Radio (lots of postal junk mail even when you opt out of future contact)
    Prize4U
    Plum Offers
    PrizePunch
    RewardsToday
    Simple2Win
    Space Kitchens (see thread here)
    Tickbox
    Topfox
    Toyhound
    UK-PrizeDraw
    VoiceInACrowd
    Vouch4me
    Weatherseal
    Weather Wherever
Willowbrook (chairs) (have pestered with phone calls quite badly on some comps - see here and also here)
    Win 4 Now
    Win24
Zenith Windows (linked to Weatherseal above)

I've always found maxim ok as well on the spam front.
Although I can't see camera link anywhere, I'm getting taken to Win an HDTV, Xbox and 'Need for Speed'

Someone said in a previous thread that Maxim have recently taken competitions out of house, and moved over to TopFox, so that may explain why past Maxim entries havn't brought spam.

cant see why comp firms NEED your address up front, unless they were intended to use for spam.. surely only winenrs would be contacted, to get details for delivery of xyz item/s..?

i usually put a duff address (123456 nothing here road etc, or 'to be advised', if they insisit..)

Most prizes are sent out without contacting you, saves time and effort trying to contact the winner I guess. So really you could be doing yourself out of some nice goodies.
Thank you to everyone who posts comps! :A

I've never had any hassle from Maxim and joined a couple of months ago, thats why i tend to post them. But i always say that that TopFox are on the avoid list, as seen on my earlier post.

Has anyone won anything from Maxim before?

I have won with Maxim before, but the issue here is that they are now doing comps via Topfox.
