Tesco - Clubcard vouchers are worthless

If you are near a bigger store how about stocking up on any clothing, stationery, wrapping paper, presents, toiletries etc ?
Just a thought.Ermutigung wirkt immer besser als Verurteilung.

Am really angry and disappointed with Tesco today.
I received my "summer promotional" Clubcard vouchers in the mail yesterday. Great - I thought - some more ££ in my pocket.
But no no no.
Weekly vouchers are £4 off (with a "bumper" £6 voucher thrown in) on a £40 minimum spend.
Now I don't know about everyone else out there, but I am a single who lives on their own and I don't happen to have or spend £40 a week on groceries. It feels really unfair and I've sent them an email today telling them just that!
I appreciate they're trying to boost their turnover, but if you don't have the money to spend ... you don't have the money!
It's not meant to be fair, it's a business decision.
We shop every fortnight and I tend to walk to Tesco and get a taxi home, which is no more expensive than the return bus fair! Or see if you can shop at the same time as a friend, family member or work colleague.
I also combine vouchers to make the target more worthwhile - recently I had £3 Clubcard, £5 Morrisons (Sun newspaper) plus coupons worth 100 points which I used together. Or use one lot of vouchers at the start of the first week, a second lot at the end of the second week and each £40 shop works out the same spend per day as £30 weekly.
You could stock up on something light like cheap underwear or t-shirts, toilet roll, canvas bags for life (make it easier to carry more on the bus!), a couple of paperbacks or DVDs as gifts ... whatever you choose you are getting 40% off the additional £10 spend.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0 -
Well, these vouchers are not reward vouchers after all. They're an incentive to spend more. So they're not really supposed to be "fair", are they?
If you don't want it, throw it in the bin. It's not like you're losing money in any way, is it?Val.0 -

I've started to use those vouchers. Mine are often get £5 if you spend £50. That is the shop where I stock up on all tinned stuff and items with long dates. It just means I spend less the other weeks.0
