I doubt tesco would do these vouchers if there wasn't any profit to be made. Plus one the coupons have finished you may have it menatally in your head that shopping costs £40 rather than going back down to £300 -

Yeah, it's the second bit there that's key - they're trying to alter your habits. That's the whole point of the loss-leader.
It's a bit like CCs, they always give you a nice 0% offer when you sign up - so you get used to using it, hoping you'll keep going once the offer ends. If you're smart, and "use" the deal, the bank will end up down. If you actually fall into the trap, they end up making squidloads.
So the best thing you can do with these offers is to use them up, spit them out, then carry on exactly as before.0 -
Why not club together with friends or family or sell them on Ebay?

I got the £2 off £20 ones - they from my second (low use) clubcard. Will not have a problem spending £20 on my weekly shop but will have to wait and see if they will take the Sainsbury one too - I've one left from several £2 off £20 from them that I've been using at Mr T too! What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0

I've often used the larger money offs for buying petrol. On the back of the vouchers it says what you can't use them on ie Esso fuels which are at the small Tesco express shops, baby milk, cigarettes etc. SA usually reads it twice over before they scan it through but it works

Well I think you are all very lucky, I have NEVER been sent a voucher by Tesco.Stopped smoking 27/12/2007, but could start again at any time :eek:0

A moan about getting a money off voucher?
Would you have moaned if they hadn't sent it?
Good grief.:cool:0 -
I had some of these (£2.00 off a £20.00 shop for four consecutive weeks in a named local Tesco, not valid in any other Tesco stores).
I'm sure it wasn't a coincidence that new Morrisons store a mile away opened on the date the first voucher was valid from.
Thumbs up to the Tesco Marketing department!, I used all the vouchers quite happily, never look a gift horse in the mouth and all that!
Proper Clubcard mailing due in August I believe.A minute at the till, a lifetime on the bill.
Nothing tastes as good as being slim feels.
one life, live it!0
