Wow Toto - good advice! Any words of wisdom on how to get rid of one who thinks he's fantastic and refuses to believe that someone would want to leave him?

    It's OK Pepe, you're safe ;)

    Aww thanks everyone. :)

Men are complicated creatures aren't they!!

Women are supposed to be the confusing ones, but we are actually very simple!

Funny though isn't it, that seeming outwardly calm and self sufficient involves such a lot of behind-the-scenes stress and a huge support network armed with tissues and advice!!

Scaredy, before you go on any more dates, make sure you have watched 'He's Just Not That Into You'. I swear it's the only thing keeping me sane. :D

A few of my favourite quotes from it:

We are all programmed to believe that if a guy acts like a total jerk that means he likes you.

Trust me when I say if a guy is treating you like he doesn't give a sh*t, he genuinely doesn't give a sh*t. No exceptions.

I had this guy leave me a voicemail at work, so I called him at home, and then he emailed me to my BlackBerry, and so I texted to his cell, and now you just have to go around checking all these different portals just to get rejected by seven different technologies. It's exhausting.

afternoon - got in from work and have just about got back to a cool-ish level, although I need to go back to work for 6 to teach and the room I am in was absolutely sweltering when I walked by earlier - you could feel the heat from it just by walking past the door

Snags - I think the best thing to do is to either take a small step back and wait for him to make the move, or to literally ask him straight out. There could be lots of reasons - good or bad - why he suddenly has cooled a bit and to be honest, it's maybe best to sort it now rather than wondering for the next few days. Life is far too short ;)

I think men are pretty simply but they confused trying to second guess women and just end up looking silly - it would be sooo much better if they just said 'oh yeah sorry I dont fancy you' but they worry we'll get all upset or cry so they try to be gentle - which in a blokes book is ignoring you and hoping youll go away...

Well I haven't replied to his last text, in which he basically deflected my flirting and asked if I was okay, and that was it.

I don't know how to answer anyway - I AM okay, but I'm not very happy...but I don't want to discuss it by text, or when he's busy at work (straying back into Shrek territory...).

So either he has time for me this evening (and that will mean HE contacts ME, not the other way round), or we don't talk at all, and I will contact him tomorrow to end it properly.

    Oh !!!!!!. Siiiiiiighhhhh!

I heard a couple of quotes this morning on the radio....from one of those self help/dating books.
It was for men trying to get a woman.
    Typical chat up lines....
    *those shoes look really comfortable*
*I've seen lots of women in that dress*

Blokes are being told to (IMO) have a go at women to get their attention
