It is quite pricey unfortunately so def something to save up for - or a christmas pressie! I have plenty of choice when it comes to decluttering every shelf, cupboard and drawer in every room is full, the loft, the car port and the brick built garage which has the stuff that we havent quite got round to unpacking yet! I guess if you dont have it you wont miss it eh Skinty, thats what we did when our rate dropped, we ended up overpaying by £157 although the rate changes to SVR this month but to change now and pay a whacking great fee for a new mortgage will outweigh any benefit from a lower rate.
I have signed up for the MFi3 challenge *gulp*But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.0 -

I would have done that automatically if I was staying Lou but was thinking about the big picture, but my SVR is 3.5% and my savings interest is tiny so really I'd be better off hitting the mortgage. Have you had a good look around Lou? I saw some good deals with only about £300 fees - think it was Nationwide. but then again if you are planning to pay lots off while at a lower rate maybe that's a better plan...
Once I've got myself somewhere else I shall be overpaying like mad as I'd like as much gone as poss before DS leaves school:eek:.Mortgage OP 2025 £6250/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000

Well after much pondering and mooching around with mortgage figures I've decided that instead of just paying the extra £71 to the mortgage I'm going to attempt to pay an extra £250 per month until the end of May which will be an extra £2000. It should make a big difference by the time I sell up fingers crossed!
I shall continue saving along side this for repairs/revamp but it makes sense to pay it down a bit while it's low... off to change standing order yet again!Mortgage OP 2025 £6250/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000

Hi skint_spice
Was it this coat in Oasis you liked?
http://www.oasis-stores.com/Asymmetric-Ruffle-Coat/Coats/oasis/fcp-product/4500021919
It's now part of some sort of offer where most coats in Oasis are £80. It was £130, so makes it a bit better, if you decide you want it
I'm tempted myself, but I've just bought a new jacket, so probably can't justify it.

Thanks, it wasn't that coat I liked Gwen but I do really like that one now:o, still chanting "I don't need it, not buying it" to myself at the minute and it's working for now:beer:! Just need to stick with it for another eight months or so and I'll be laughing:rolleyes:... oh and I decided that once I have done this place up and moved I want my eyes done... laser treatment not bags fixed! but then again:o...Mortgage OP 2025 £6250/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000

I'm not encouraging you to shop, but all the coats on there are £80 or less...:D I'm sorry, I'm a bad influence.
Laser treatment sounds good, I'm too much of a wimp myself, but the thought of not having to bother with contacts or glasses again is appealing.Though no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending0 -
NSD today - that's two this week! and it's nearly friday and I still have some money left out of the food budget so hopefully I can chuck another couple of pounds in my sealed pot for christmas. I budget every month and put some money in a savings account for insurances, pressies etc but I do like spending the sealed pot money on christmas...because I don't know how much is in there it seems much less painful than taking the money out of my account again! Nuts I know as the savings are at least getting interest! I haven't been putting much in the pot lately though so it might be a very frugal xmas!Mortgage OP 2025 £6250/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000
