He does get pocket money - paid by dd and generally saved:cool:, I perhaps have a strange attitude to pocket money as I don't feel it should be earned by him doing jobs as I feel that he should do his share around the place cos he lives here and I'm not his slave but don't like paying per job, so if I decide to be grateful it's a pleasant surprise but unlike some of his friends he wouldn't dream of asking "how much?" when asked to do something. Hope that makes sense but it works for us:pMortgage OP 2025 £6250/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000

Job wise i am not too worried at the moment as DFW has taught me to be very resourceful and i intend to grasp every opportunity
You picked some good weeks to get your hols in before April then:beer:Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

enjoy your time off skinty ... and i have to admit i was similar with our son ... he never got pocket money at all ... well except once when he said " mum can i get pocket money ?" to which i replied " yep no problem if you want how much do you think is fair? " he said " would £5 be ok ?" i replied " how about £10 a week would that be ok?" he thought all his xmases had came true
so i gave him the money and then the next day i got " mum i'm going to ju-jit-su i need £3 " to which i replied " well i gave you £10 take it from that " ... that week he got to ju-jit-su twice £6 plus his diesel money ( yes i charged him diesel to get there and back) ... compared to his usual 3 times at ju-jit-su twice at swimming club tennis and golf ( every day in the summer holidays) pictures with his mates and ice skating once a week... not to mention his other usual spends ... he had a very un social week that week:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
next week rolled along and i said oh here's your tenner ... he said " mum i think i have changed my mind i no longer want pocket money" never asked again :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0
