Like it El, he asked for money to go to the cinema a few months back and got told that's what pocket money is for so duly took £20 out of the bank - he came back outraged by the price of cinema food
and also announced he wouldn't be going every month...

yep master el was forced to take sweeties to the cinema from an early age he didnt like that ... but had no other choice... as an adult he doesnt go often anymore and always takes his own sweets
i'm glad we did what we did tbh .... he's 20 now owns his own house and is very careful with his money ... i even like the fact that if he gives his friends a lift anywhere they have to pay him petrol money ... i know that may sound stingey but the truth is we all have people that take the p1$$ out of us ... i dont know how many "friends" i have had try to bleed me dry ... not master el ... master el get's a phone call asking him to take so and so somewhere ... he says no worry i can that will cost ya £x ... some change their mind others pay up
he's the only one that has a car amongst his friends0 -
Yes El but last time I was up your way you bought me lunch and Niccatw bought me tea. Sometimes makes me feel like a cross between a sponge and a vulture.
Even my dissertation supervisor buys me coffee and on Thursday he bought me coffee and cake.I said you're supposed to be supervising me not subsidising me. He's a very nice man.
(Do think he's going to nick half my dissertation for next year's lectures on sustainability).
Hope you have a nice break Skinty.

Exactly Butti ... You are neither a sponger nor a vulture .... I was thinking more about people from my past that i soon got rid of
... MSE is deff about more than money ... I've had to examine alot of me, what makes me tick and why
Had a bottom life feeder try to get back into my life the other month ... Previously in the past i wouldve made all sorts of excuses for this person and paid their share of everything we did together justifying it to myself in one way or another ... When they suggested we go for coffee i said aslong as your paying i have no money ... Funnily enough not heard back ...Finally i felt like i had graduted from dont let people rip the p1$$ class0 -
