Well due to feeling guilty about the dress I've just rounded up excess from petrol, a whack of this month's entertainment budget and paid another £220 to CC - maybe guilt isn't a bad thing after all...

Well now all the spendy stuff is done I've managed to pay another £100 off :D, still got £60 in entertainment fund and no plans, plus there might be a wee bit extra in the petrol fund but need to wait and see what glamorous places I get sent to next week - if it's just normal office should be fine :)

Computer power thingy seems to have sparks coming out though so have unplugged and shall head up to see if I can get another one later.

It's more likely to spark if it isn't plugged together properly. If it's truly broken, then smoke is a far more likely outcome...

Err, shall try to explain - the wire that sticks out of the plug in to computer bit seems to be broken, it wasn't charging so I shoogled (correct technical term, no?) it then there were sparks! Bought universal charger for £60!!!! hope it works...

Ah, why didn't you just say you'd snapped the end off in the first place... :p

Coincidently I was looking at one of those universal ones in ASDA today. It was selling cheap, and it's probably only a matter of time...

You'll have to be careful with the next one. No pulling stuff around with it. ;)

For the next one, loop the cable near the plug and tie the loop to the plug with either a rubber band, or with the twisty that will come with it.

If you put too much strain on the connector, the twisty will ping and fly across the room. That's a simple way of telling you you're putting too much strain on the connector... ;)
