Hello... yes, I am now officially debt free :jbut not sure I've learned anything:o! I want pretty things and holidays:o! This is part of the problem with budgeting so hard for so long that I've frittered away loads already (on a very tight month) on stuff like makeup and foodie treats and I've realised I need to calm down a bit or I'll never achieve the things I really want.

So this time next year I must have saved/done up flat and be in a position to go somewhere with DS that's on my "see before I die" list and not just a last minute getaway cos I'm bored. It's a long list so hopefully there's somewhere relatively cheap in there!

Please help me stay focused and don't let me get back into debt cos I can hear my CC calling me already "come to Greece tis cheap and you'll be DF again in no time..."

And the main thing is that you have started your new diary before the old habits kick in.

Remember, it is like dieting - losing the weight is only half the battle.....just because the scales say we are at target weight, doesn't mean we can scoff again!

So.......once a DFW, always a DFW. And let's face it, why would we want to be anything different :rotfl:

Mmmm... my diets usually end half way to losing the weight!:D:o way too much scoffing round here! it is hard to strike a balance but I need to keep focused or I'll never get out of here (flat not DFW;)).

Happy to stay a DFW although I'll be very happy if I stay DF.:D

Don't we all? But of course you've learned. Before you wouldn't have given a second thought to slapping it on the card. Now you don't do it.

I'm currently overpaying a whole fiver a month;)! only cos that was easier than cancelling the SO and setting it up again later:o.

I think once I've saved up and done the flat up I will overpay a bit while waiting for it to sell so who knows - I could be MF before I sell:eek:!

Which means you get a hell of a deposit, or alternatively, you can buy afresh without having to wait for that one to sell.

    All good news...

Still not fussed. Besides - job is quite up in the air at the mo, so keeping options open.

If the worst happens, I might sell the furniture and go travelling...if I planned it well enough with £8 travelodge rooms, I could be travelling quite a while...
