All over. There is so much in this country I could see. Would have to research going abroad. Not so sure of how to do that as cheaply.
Motorcaravan!! In many countries my parents fail to spend their (admittedly generous) pension. You can't but 'stuff' as you don't have the space, no bills as such, diesel and ingredients for food are often dirt cheap.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0 -

I think once I've saved up and done the flat up I will overpay a bit while waiting for it to sell so who knows - I could be MF before I sell:eek:!
Can't you just amend the existing standing order with online banking?
It sounds like you work well with defined reasons for saving money rather than a wishy washy "to do up the flat". Perhaps you could write a list, pick number one, get a quote for the work and then calculate how many months to save up for it? And perhaps a set amount for pocket money each month, or decide to only use survey or cashback income for treats?Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0 -

I did! it was over £100 at a point where I was deeply in debt - madness I know - but rather than cancel completely I put it down to £5. I will amend it again once flat is finished.:DIt sounds like you work well with defined reasons for saving money rather than a wishy washy "to do up the flat". Actually I do have a list if tasks to tick off (on a spreadsheet obviously:p) and estimates of how much each will cost. Just trying to decide whether or not to aim for each one separately or put the total as my aim but then it'll keep going up and down. I have lived by the set amount for pocket money for the last three years but have just gone a bit OTT this week, it's hard to accept that I can't just spend all MY money. I will be back on the wagon though from here on in and I'm actually going to put my quidco money into the savings pot just to get started (it's only a tiny amount this month sadly). Will also attempt to generate a bit of extra income each month.Mortgage OP 2025 £6200/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000

Right got it sussed now and I've worked out how much I can comfortably put away each month and roughly how much things will cost, then don't shout but I've added on a couple of thousand for a holiday and looks like it would take about 12 months to reach my target. Obviously that's a challenge in itself - so here goes nothing:beer:...
I've decided I'm just going to keep the total going even if I spent some (on housey stuff) till I achieve the target.
Please note I won't achieve much till august's pay:o...Mortgage OP 2025 £6200/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000

OOh new diary. Good luck with your plans Skinty. xBlackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:0 -
Oh? Hard month coming?
oh yes! probably the most expensive by far - car stuff, birthdays, new uniform and I also booked a wee break for later in the year so need to pay the balance on that too. Still I made a wee start today so it's no longer 0% now at 0.2% so that feels much better:rolleyes:. I'm not posting totals as I know some people will give me a hard time for tarting the place up before selling but ultimately it's my call! Feeling quite motivated to get going with some moneymaking now.:D

It is indeed. And one of the advantages of tarting it up is that it makes it a nice place to live while it is selling...skint_spice wrote: »Feeling quite motivated to get going with some moneymaking now.:D
