The Max is 4GB.

I added 1GB to the existing 256MB, and it works fine.

No need to take anything out.

It will fit the Dell ok, but you will never see this in stock.

I bought 1GB of Crucial DDR2 533MHz SODIMM (200 pin) for under £60 on Ebay.

By the way, you know the 3 screws at the back, are they the normal standard ones? Cross or straight type, not the hexagonal type screws?

Normal Crosshead Philips posidrive, quite small.
