Teacher assaulted my son - what to do?

Not to lose their head and act in such a reckless manner.
But you refused to attend the meeting to discuss this because you couldn't get things in writing that YOU wanted?
As for DPA - blanking out names is NOT enough I'm afraid - it would more than likely be too easy to identify the statements or comments about the children concerned and that if you didn't like the comments made about your son could then start a whole new battle when what the kids have said was said with the understanding that this is not something that gets released to all and sundry.
If you involved the police they wouldn't be likely to release any statements made to them to you for your leisurely evening read either I'm afraid. They;d investigate, see if there was something to take further and if not they would merely let you know they were not taking it further - no explanation required I'm afraid.DFW Nerd #025DFW no more! There have also been 'mediation sessions' imposed on my son without my consent or knowledge.
The matter is resolved. The fact that you're still stewing won't reopen it.
I'm not clear on how you're complaining that nothing's been done when you've received assurance that it has been from the head, and mediation within the school is going on.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

I don't know what action has been taken - but judging by the email correspondence - none at all.
I eventually got to see the head who was unprepared for the meeting and so terminated it, so she could get 'advice'.
The head wanted to proceed with the next meeting but was unprepared to show me any of the documentation that I asked to see.
Since then both positions have become entrenched. I simply want justice - a fair result. People in authority should not abuse that authority. The headteacher is paid a lot of money and hasn't shown a great deal of leadership from what I can see.0 -

Don't be ridiculous.0 -
The head teacher has assured you that the matter is dealt with. The law prevents him/her from showing you the related documents. It's time to accept this and move on.
As a parent I am entitled to see the documents that relate to my child. Their reluctance to do so only strengthens my suspicion that this is a whitewash.0 -
They can not show you documents that relate to other children though. How long exactly has it been since the incident and your last point of contact with the school over this matter?0

No. You are not entitled to see documents that are protected under the DPA.
There is no whitewash. This is the law.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

You are a prime example of jumping to conclusions - that 2 and 2 = 5.
If I and mitchka were one and the same how could we simultaneously post at 18.41?
Just because some people agree with me doesn't mean they are aliases.
Wait behind, spugzbunny - 6 of the best for you!0 -
Can we all stop the debate about aliases etc please? This thread is pushing the limits on what should remain on the MSE board as it is - going off topic and arguing about potential aliases is going to acchieve nothing but for me to close the thread I'm afraid - and that goes all round btwDFW Nerd #025DFW no more!
