Nah! Aeb already has 2 boys and a girl, so it needs to be 2 girls and a boy to even up the numbers :rolleyes2Cheryl0

Ooh, what are you lot like? We shouldn't be putting poor Aeb under pressure to drop any hints... but, whoever has the book, can I have a fiver on 3 girls, please, so they can out number the boys 2 to 1. :rotfl:
Oh, and a fiver on Whitewing for a girl and Mumzy for umm.... oh, what the heck, make hers a girl, too. I'm in a pink mood to match tonight's lovely sky.I reserve the right not to spend.

No signs of life about here yet, but it's another beautiful, sunny day here in Frugaldom and I hope the sun is shining wherever you are. I also hope the weather stays like this all weekend.
Gardening today, then quick trip to friend's house to borrow her gym. Gotta start somewhere, it may as well be there. Frugally freeI reserve the right not to spend.

Hi Nyk,
ETA is around noon, I've to pick my friend up at 10am, so it's just about 2 hours from her place. Will check in later. xx0 -
Blair-Hope you feel better today. x
Redglass- Congrats on your alotment produce. x
Natalie-The chickens sound great! x
How I dislike Prize Giving. I have to look the part and I never know what to wear.
I have bought 3 new tops and 2 new skirts which I have decided are not smart enough.
I've had a nice sky blue monsoon jacket dry cleaned (have worn this before) but would have to wear a black v-neck t-shirt underneath as none of the new tops go. I did manage to pick up a new black skirt in the sales.
That would be good enough I think but its not a pretty summer's dress.
But then I think, no ones really that interested in what I wear, I'm only there for 2 hours.
A small part things I should go shopping now, but the red army arrived last night and my stomach is killing me.
What to do?
The event starts at 2.30pm

sft,
Go and buy a pretty summer dress. Prizegiving is special, even if you feel rotten.
I will be interested in what you're wearing. You're part of the family. Go and feel good.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0 -
aeb - do you have 3 aged 5,3 and 1 and triplets on the way?? if so WOW you are mad lol - hope every1 pregnant has boys as girls are monsters he he although the eldest has tonsilitis at the moment and layed on the floor and declared 'i thin i am dying' - proper man he is growing into. Me and daughter were over it in a few days.
The hens are excellent. I love them already! They have dug a bird dust bath thing and take it in turns to nest in it and roll over lol - they are such fun to watch! I am already extending the hen house so i can get some ex-batts. These ones came from a poultry farm. Hoping i saved them from pie

whitewing-Thanks for the reply. The mind is willing but the flesh is not. Finding my monthly cramps very painful and would actually be in bed if I didn't have to go this afternoon, then its straight on to my sister's 40th birthday party. I'll have to get the summer dress next year. x:cool: Frugal Living 2010 member MFW by 2014 Was 88,000 now £46,877.90 Grocery Budget for Dec-April=£173.72/£244 (Groc Budget 2010 from Ebay/Voucher savings/Quidco -If we can do it will save our £980 GC budget) Now living the dream -in our tiny country cottage-all thanks to MS forums. x 39 2 go

sft - in 12 hrs it'll all be over and you won't care anymore what you wore. I expect what you have is 'good enough'. And your you are so overflowing with bliss at your new life at the mo - that's what people will probably pick up on. I was also touched by your post yesterday. I too am wth a very gentle man.
CW - that was a lovely tale about xmas shoping with your daughter - it must be so frustrating that she doesn't quite remember how good it felt , well enough to be replicating it!!
I've finally made it to the free 'let us teach you how to maintain your bike' workshop. of the way home!!! Completely knackered now though so need to build up my strength gradually me thinks. Last 24 hrs haven't been too good so body on a bit of a go slow anyway.
Next task after a rest is to do a bit of meal planning (have been getting slack) and then a little food shopping to sort us out for at least a couple of days.
Then the rest of the day is then mine to pootle at home as I wish. OH working.
Lynne - have a fab visit
redglass - had a goodlaugh at your post
natalie - how exciting to have chickens! Instant chicken envy.
aeb - you've done so well in making enough decions to tie you over. love hearing how your kids get excited by veg growingI try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -
Just a bit about the designer clothes & people not recognising their own stupidity [yep! catching up on yesterday's posts
]
I've been a deserted wife since my three were all under 9yrs of age so they've had no option but to admire things from afar. The middle one is/was the only real complainee but now sees that the majority of expensive 'fashion' is just not worth paying full price for. Even now, I scour charity shops & buy up classic 'labels' for gifts throughout the year. Consequence is, they've developed a keen eye for a bargain themselves which is proving a lesson well learned with two of them currently out of work.
As to the other talking point, a [female] family member confessed they couldn't afford to retire next year even tho she works in local government & her husband has a goodly company pension. Perhaps two foreign holidays a year for god-nose-how-long, associated cars & numerous home improvements are the culprits but she drives me mad! She may be older than me but I can't help thinking I've got the better life skills, & really don't think I have ever seriously given more than a fleeting thought to wanting to swap places.
Full time Carer for Mum; harassed mother of three;loving & loved by two 4-legged babies.
