I've been today and had a wonderful time.

    Yes car parking is free

It is very hot there, take sunblock , hat and plenty to drink unless you want to pay £3.50 per print, £2 per soft drink!!

As I live close, took the backroads there and back, no jams what so ever!! hehehehhehe

Most of the grandstands are open, we wandered around, and sat opposite the pit lane for the doughnuts! very noisy!

Walk to wood farm etc for the F2, and sat on the grass banks later on.

I would suggest cross over early into the middle its as the q's for the bridge and the tunnel were hurrendous later on. In the middle bit all the exhibitions / fair grounds/ etc are.

You know when I asked for "tips".......

Earplugs would have been a good one:eek:

So noisy when they had Nigel Mansell type of cars on the track:eek::eek::eek:

I dropped them off, nipped down to Bicester;)

Quick whizz round, got what I wanted & back there with the picnic.

DH was a bit embarrassed with our wicker hamper:p
He went to take it out & said "Pimms o'clock anyone":rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

He thought we looked like idiots, when everyone else had cool boxes:o:rolleyes:

Earplugs? reallly? It wasn't half as noisy as the F1 is!! I wanted a pair of the cute kids ones though :rotfl:

Did you see Nigel Mansell? I met him in the paddock by his trailer on the Sat and had a quick chat with him :D

No, I didn't watch it, I was just "showing an interest" in DHs hobbies:rolleyes:

Was it his son that spun off the track? I know it was the son of someone famous in racing.

I am hugely and immensly flattered that you consider that I am worth all of that attention.

I was feeling a little low - but you have made me feel so good about myself now.

    Thanks
