• Hi,
I stupidly signed up with yes loans and they took the brokerage fee from me before I had a chance to think about things. You need to take the following steps - it has taken a while but they will refund you.
1.) Send the letter cancelleing any greement and asking for a refund - send REGISTERED POST.
2) I sent three letters - make sure all of these are registered. don't waste your time with phone calls - it is expensive and they hang up on you.
3) They must return your payment within 30 days if you cancel so if this has not happened, send all documents to the financial ombudsman who will take the case on - fill out a form - takes a few minutes. I got a cheque within 10 days. They are in breach of an act 2004 distance marketing act or something..you can look this up.
GOOD LUCK

hi

Im fronting a mass complaint against yes loans, Ill give everone advice on how to get their money back without quips or rants. Unfortunately yes loans can keep £5 but everything else is a refund.

I'll guide anyone through the process including what to say to the cold callers and collecting credible evidence for a mass complaint.

Another bad bit of news it may take up to 80 days to gain your money back going through the system which yes loans are exploiting.

Please email me at auxr4dar@hotmail.com and ill give you advice, a copy of yes loans terms and conditions and a template letter to send to them. As well as info on the next step to make a formal complaint to the correct authorities eg financial ombudsman, trading standards the OFT the institute of financial planning and I wish to get as many people complaining to bbc watchdog to have some meaty backing

And please dont be put off by some people who trawl this very site and make sneer remarks at how daft people are etc, they are usually very sad socially inept people. Just get in touch with me and ill guide and help you the best I can and please join me in my campaign it wont take much effort just evidence gathering.

So can they still take the fee even if you DONT sign and send the paperwork back ? This is because in the declaration you are signing it says you are signing for to authorise Yes Loans to provide the services set out in its terms and conditions. So if this isnt signed and returned surely they have no authority to charge you anything as you havent authorised it ? Is that right or do they just charge you anway ?

there is another thread on here about yes loans - i gave them £ 69.50 2 weeks ago using my bf's credit card - havent been able to get hold of them since - so i called the Financial Ombudsman Service - they said they have had alot of problems with loan brokers, but that when they contact Yes, they are pretty good at refunding the fee. So thay have written to Yes on my behalf.

The FOS advised me to NEVER pay an upfront fee.

I have also been advised to check my bank account and my bf's credit card account to make sure they don't take any more money.

Remember,
