I am paying it manually from next month on, and switching to the Post Office credit card soon!

I would suggest continue with direct debit as it becomes their responsibility to collect rather than yours to pay.

Their application process is a shambles from all reports, but having waited the 26 days, and had the search on your credit report, I'd have taken the card and made some money out of it.

Out of curiosity, how would you have made money with this card?

Well you will save money if you use Abbey Zero abroad because of it being fee-free on foreign currency transactions.

I made money on the original Abbey Zero deal of 0% on Balance Transfers for 6 months with no fee. Invested those funds in an interest bearing account for a tidy profit. Currently enjoying a repeat deal aswell ;)

Despite thee shambolic customer services (sh)Abbey Zero has been a nice little earner for me.

Stoozing is the easiest way. The card table on the stoozing website shows potential profit using current best-buy savings accounts.

They won't discuss an application until 5 working days have passed. Serves me right for leaving it so long to apply - i only want it for my holiday in 2 weeks :(

20 days in total from online application to getting the card and pin for me.

    Generous credit limit also.
