i got an email today something about returning old type smarts , but i was reading it on my mobile and deleted it before i read it properly , anyone else get it ?
  • waptext, I got the email today too - I've copied it below for you.

Return the old SMARTs and turn them into new SMARTs
Recently you will have received a letter in your pack regarding how we have been replacing old-style SMARTs with new-style SMARTs. The new ones look smarter and the thin layer of foam on one side makes them less easy to identify from the outside of the envelope. We’re keen to ‘dress-up’ the last few old-style SMARTs and therefore we’re recalling the remaining ones now.
How do I tell the old SMARTs from the new SMARTs?
Old SMARTs are orange. New SMARTs are not orange and have a thin layer of black foam on one side.
What, exactly, do I have to do?
Please click on ‘MANAGE MY SMARTS’ on the menu at the top of your DAILY TASKS page, and then click on ‘List SMARTs currently in stock’. (It is good practice to do this every time you log onto the website, as the list is updated regularly.) Please return any SMARTs that are listed with the status ‘Return to RI’ in one of the Freepost SMART Return Envelopes included in your weekly Posting Pack. Please then indicate that you have returned the SMART by using the ‘Return SMART’ to RI function – this will remove them from your stock list.
    · If you are certain that you haven’t got a SMART that we’re asking you to return, please remove it from your list by indicating that you have returned it.
    · If you need any Smart Return Envelopes, please order some from our site by clicking on ‘Request Stationery’ at the top of the page.
    · If you have any other old style SMARTs, which aren’t listed anywhere, please return them too.
    · If a SMART that is listed as ‘Return to RI’ has already been sealed inside an envelope you are due to post, please leave the SMART in the item and post on as usual.
    · If you have any SMARTs that are ‘Allocated’ or ‘Associated’ to Poster Item Numbers that you don’t recognise, these can also be returned. You won’t be able to remove these SMARTs from your own stock list but we will remove them once we check them back into our stock.
Please do not reply to this email. If you have any queries, please contact our Helpline.
    Kind regards,
    Postal Survey Team

The presentation stamps are lovely and I'm delighted with the diary too - I love being on this panel.
