The parcel is certainly big and awkward to carry but I wouldn't call it heavy as it is just a large block of foam type material. Annoying it arrived when you were on holiday. Remember you still have to post it when you receive the instructions!!
I have never had any problems with holiday dates providing I've given them earlier enough but there certainly seem to be a number of people who do.
Maybe i am a weakling but i did find it heavy and also awkard carring it from one side of town to another, i will post it back but will have to go by car, am going to email to be taken off the list too much hassle for me.
My holiday dates were given in September for my March holidays and i still got letters to post but the week before and week after no letters to post.0 -
If you are concerned about getting postings whilst on holidays, don't. All you need to do is to post the items when you get back on the corresponding day of the week after you return if you know what I mean.0

When we had the snow earlier, I could not get out to post and did eventually post some letters 2 weeks late. There was no comment from Kantar but I think if you check with them for a longer time they will tell you just to return the complete envelope with all the contents.
Always worthwhile asking the lovely Joanne if unsure of something unusual.0 -
I have posted some Mega late ones recently with no apparent problems. Still catching up actually.
I just post them on the corresponding day in the coming week/weeks.** Freebies and money saved with the help of you all? - Don't know ....lost count! **** Stay Safe **0 -
Not a very sucessful week for me
. Couldn't do my posting on one day (will do next week) and put one in post office instead of post box (tired after a long week at work)
. Never mind, I do 99% correctly so I'm sure they will forgive me!!

Whoops! Do you think this might mean we'll all soon be out of a job? I hope not as I really like doing this.

I think that is maybe why they are stopping using the test initials.Young moneysaver in the making

I think that is maybe why they are stopping using the test initials.
On tv they've just mentioned being able to feel the smarts inside too, as well as the initials being noticeable. What makes me mad is that it's apparently the executives and senior managers who will get the bonuses even though the sorters and posties are the ones who actually will find the test mail and ensure it gets there quicker. My postie is wonderful and trudged up here in the snow, picks up anything from me that needs posting, takes the trouble to stop me if he sees me in my car if he has anything like a parcel he hasn't been able to leave at the house and passes it over, gets out of the car to shut the lane gate even if it's pouring with rain etc etc. I wish he could get a bonus just for being helpful and nice. And he's like that with everyone, even if he did know I'm one of the testers. I really hope this doesn't mean RI lose the contract. I suppose in retrospect it's obvious which is test mail, after all we all know, but hindsight is wonderful. It's often been mentioned on here though that we have concerns about the postie knowing so it's a shame RI didn't change things back then. Fingers crossed it's ok..0 -
I would be very surprised if this meant RI lost the contract, unless it could be shown that they were at fault (beyond the basic design concept) It is a pretty large operation and would be quite an undertaking to change it completely. and so not something done lightly.
The report is a follow up to the investigation we heard about last year and I still think was the cause of the "panellist purge" back then. Assuming no new names lists have come to light then I think membership is probably secure. I guess time will tell, but 22,000 panellists would be hard to replace.
I was interested to see in the Telegraph article (link below) claims that my own area, Twickenham, may be involved (along with Motherwell, Belfast, Carlisle, Manchester and Preston and Kingston) Although in my case, the service was good before I became a panellist. Of course, that doesn't mean it hasn't since been maintained as good artificially.
Being a dyed-in-the-wool techie, I am curious as to how this will be resolved. I believe it needs a lot more than just removing a initial from the address to tighten up the system, I would say that the SMART is the main thing that needs updating, shrinking and disguising. I suspect that it is also the most expensive thing to change. Does anyone know how long they have been in use? I know it is several years through my own experience, but even when I started I remember wondering why they were so big and clunky.

SPCome on people, it's not difficult: lose means to be unable to find, loose means not being fixed in place. So if you have a hole in your pocket you might lose your loose change.0
