If these guys are genuine and honest then why the differing addresses and WHY is there no telephone number ...this simply screams dodgy dealing to me! Yes I'm STILL waiting for goods/refund and replies to my emails from them.
If they have 27 years experience as claimed in previous post then why are they so rubbish... again why no telephone number?
If they are genuine then why aren't they being up front and honest and replying to folk directly...or even replying to these reviews
Personally I will NEVER use them again, I will NEVER recommend and will tell friends etc to avoid using them as life really is too short for such BAD business..0 -
These clowns are still going and still useless. I ordered a pump for a washing machine by its exact part number, they sent the wrong one. They ignored all my emails. They do not list a phone number but eventually a fax woke them up (use freepopfax.com to send them free). They asked me to return the pump I wisely held it back and asked for a replacement. they then sent completely the wrong part, a small 20W pump instead of 90W, wrong port sizes and positions. I now have two of their useless pumps and they are insisiting the last one is correct and just needs bodging in!0

Can anyone answer whether this is the same Spares2Go (in Southampton?) as described in the above posts as that trading through ebay with a location (the page says) in Burton, Cheshire and/or Ellesmere Port under the name of spares-2-go?
I'm wanting to order a part and have become twitchy after reading the above posts.
Or does anyone have any experience of this Spares2Go (the one via ebay)?
Many thanks (in hope these folk are genuine and ok to deal with).0 -
I doubt they are the same - although 99.8% feedback is not brilliant on eBay the rogue spares2go could not get anywhere near that IMHO. However even if they are, you will have much less trouble via eBay and using PayPal, they side with customers and will refund you if you have any trouble. Also note the different logos and trading periods of the two - 30 years / 45 years claimed experience.
What part do you need I have 2 new pumps here where the rent I am charging sparers2go has now exceeded their cost. I am still awaiting Mastercard's refund, they wanted an independant report on my pumps, all for less than £50 lost!0 -

just heard from MasterCard (Lloyds)and they are refusing to refund unless I get an independent report saying the two pumps are the wrong ones. I'm sure that would cost more than the £46 I want refunded from spares2go. What next? I see the card company are only jointly liable if the amount is over £100 (so how convenient they want independent reports for a £46 claim) so I assume it is a small claim against spares2go?0

Ordered a part show in stock on spares to go in April. Payment taken, email received that delivery in 30 days. £0 days came and went, tied the phone number (fax machine no reply or answerphone) and emailed to inquire about progress. In fairness I got a prompt response apologizing and saying a refund would be sent by cheque and asking who to make it to. Sadly no cheque materialized and subsequent emails have gone without response.
I am now pursuing a refund through my card issuer and have reported my experience to Hampshire Trading Standards 01962833620). If others have had the same experience and do the same then perhaps action will be taken against them.

don't suppose your card issuer is halifax/lloyds? If so perhaps you can add weight to my claim for a refund. Lloyds are so far refusing

After dozens of emails, photos, an email from an alternative supplier declaring the second washing machine pump sent was wrong (spares2go admit the first one was) and a complaint to my credit card company I have finallly got the card company to refund my £46.
It cost me a lot of my time but I was so annoyed with spares2go's service and attitude. Thankfully the credit card company have credited me a further £75 for the way they initially treated me and the amount of work I had to do.
Apparently Spares2go have 45 days to resubmit the bill. As they seem to have 'delighed customers' who read and post here let me say now I will happily contest it all over again if they do. I can also tell them that the two useless pumps are still here waiting collection plus payment of the £7.25 per week storage charge I notified them of 9 weeks ago (based on Big Yellow storage rates).0 -
First they will take your money, then they will send you the incorrect product, then they will suggest you return the product at your expense, then they will deny receiving the product and refuse to reimburse you either with the correct product or a refund.0
