for you to have typed it you must have imagined me - that is quite scary.

i'm surprised you're like this btw.
normally you do come back with a good point - things must have changed.

How can I possibly come back with a good point when I say "Houses are red" and you your little gang say "but you are implying that they are blue".

Lads, he said houses a blue!!

Edit, sorry, I got that wrong....I'll try again...

you're being silly now - not only have you avoided the question of how much a reasonable deposit on a property is but you're don't understand that house prices haven't gone up 6% since February

Here's the numbers for you... just to remind you...

    Feb £147,746
    Mar £150,946
    April £151,861
    May £154,016
    June £156,442

If any sane person had come out with some of the crap he has today I think they would have kept their head below the parapet for a couple of days. To be fair to Dev he is still there slugging away - respect :T

Do you see those figures as a good thing? Is it good that something has become more expensive, or perhaps is priced further away from people hoping to buy?

No, all those figures prove is the average price of selling properties has gone up. It doesnt represent the market as a whole when volumes are off a cliff NECESSARILY.

they are not a good thing because as you say less people will able to afford property.

i have never ever said that higher prices are a good thing.

spot on - until you have larger volumes.
    these numbers are not realistic.

one thing that you're missing though. when prices were dropping they were pretty similar volumes - can you say that is comparable?
