Wow changes in Welfare State since the 50s will include I presume the birth of NHS and Nye Bevans vision for it and then how governments have eroded or expanded this over time and the move towards a holisitc health service rather than treatment at the point of need service and how this has then grown up a whole parrallel private health function that has actually eaten away at the NHS's core values rather than strengthened them...i.e. if you want a holistic service you have to pay for it...
No idea about the rest of the welfare state but it seems to be going much the same way i.e. more expensive for less work becuase of contracting out to private companies - it would be interesting to reference the recent cases of fraud in the employment service perhaps...0

Ok, club is sorted, I will get a booking form in the post then just need to take Amber in for a visit so she gets to know the place and away we go.:T
The lady was ever so nice and didn't even know that there is funding for 1 to 1, she didn't sound money grabbing at all and said that they will make sure there is a full program of activities for Amber to do, and will make sure that she has her own quiet space too if she needs it.:A

            Morning
Happy Birthday Spudly, hope you have a fantastic day Mwah xx
DD I would leave your job, you know what the years before Elliott will go off to school fly by. I can't believe my DD is off in September and if I were to do it all again I would spend more quality time with her and less time worrying, workinh etc. The job isn't making you happy and eventually it will eat into your home life and make you miserable there too..its just not worth it
Toto, fab news about the tonsils
Sammy I think you are doing a fab job juggling all you do
Sorry I can't remember what everyone else said
At work until 2pm and its soooo hot and muggy, cycled to work today and am like a sweat thing on a sweaty day yuk :eek:I'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway. I'll take a risk, take a chance, make a change and breakaway ....
 Finally Debt Free...0

            Morning all
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Sammy - you should meet my mum - you'd get on great. She has issues with immigrants also (the ones that, to use her words, 'sponge off our welfare')
DD - I reckon you know the answer, you just need to be brave enough to take the step. You may not do toddler groups but there are other things - swimming, massage, etc where people are together because they're interested, not because they fancy a gossip;)
Anyhoo - off to [STRIKE]sad loser[/STRIKE] post natal support group:rotfl:
 TTFN xxx
Oh carp - reason for post in the first place
