If the problem is that bad why does the goverment give money to people with drinking problems, why not help them by other means?:kisses:0

All 3 Tesco stores locally have been asking me and my friends for ID when buying alcohol (and in some cases even cigarettes) regularly for the past few months and we're between 25-32. I'd say that is being responsible.
Regardless of cost people will buy and drink alcohol. Some will binge. If it gets too expensive then people will make their own. I used to make homebrew when I was about 15-16 and I'm pretty sure you only needed to be 14 to buy the kit.
I'll need to get a few bottles of this selekt vodka. Perfect for TITP.
Thanks to the original poster0 -

Thanks op I will have a look tomorrow. I want to make cherry vodka for christmas presents as I have copious amounts of cherries, and have enough jam for the year.
I will only be giving them to grown ups though. Is that ok. lolAnyone who lives within their means suffers from a lack of imagination:beer:

Has anyone actually thought this whole expensive water thing through?
The reason water is so expensive, is because it is a natural resource, that is fastly running out (remember those ice caps are still melting!).. man made liquids will therefore be cheaper, as they are easier to reproduce..
Selekt vodka at £5 a bottle is a bargin! especially since the credit crunch is still going and pubs keep jacking their prices up!0 -

Oh...and you know that "man made liquids" like beer, vodka and the rest, probably take *more* water to make than just...liek...water...0 -
Got the last litre bottle or normal brandy today at North Shields.
