    Why desperate?

    If there were five viewers who looked at the OP's house, then there's four people who DIDN'T buy his house, and who might still be looking in the same town/area/street.

    If the EA says "I sold this one; I might have more buyers" as they seem to be doing here, then the next neighbour to list with them might well be in a good position for a quick sale.

    Where's the commercial advantage in keeping quiet about what they've sold?
