Lidl Recycled is quite good value - its about £1.20 for 10 rolls.

Seconded. I've bought nothing else but this for about 5 years. It seems pointless spending more.

If you're used to thick papers like Andrex it will seem very thin at first but don't let that put you off. Indeed, when visiting friends & family Andrex et al seem far too thick and it's more difficult to wipe with such thick paper.

There was ad on tv last night for Somerfield. Their own brand luxury toilet tissue is half price at 2.20ish for 9.

Somerfield do have toilet roll offers of some sort every week. Their own loo roll is very good, as is the Nouvelle one which was recently on offer there at £2.82 for 12 rolls.

I agree with Tesco Value, never use anything else - anything else is just money down the drain!

I also changed to "Nicky" from Farmfoods after reading about it on another thread - it really is as good as the top brands at a great price!

current netto offer, 36 toilet rolls £7, 2 packs of 18
  • Just thought I'd a a quick tip I was given a few years ago: if people (kids mainly!) in your house use reams of toilet roll each time try flattening the roll a bit before you put it on the holder. It stops them using so much as it doesn't 'roll' so easily. I do this every time now and it does seem to work ...
I'm buying Tesco toilet roll at the moment - not value but the one up. Seems ok to me and a reasonable price if you buy the 9 pack.

We also buy Nicky from Farmfoods - 9 rolls for £2. We also saw the same offer at 'In Store'. Really good quality quilted toilet paper.

I always buy Lidl's recycled toilet rolls. I think they are £1.21 for 10 rolls. They normally last ages. I resent paying alot of money for something that just gets flushed away!

Morrisons 12 for £1.25. Also get their own brand tissues for wiping the kids noses, 25p a box.
