No, they don't. Just had this, yet again, with 'd!chetterie' in another post.

    is the wine actually drinkable?

It's drinkable but not worth anywhere near the full price.
The 2006 and 2007 may have been good - the 2008 is not, in my opinion - not much depth of taste

Yes - I did the same. It was on special offer for £4.50 recently in Sainsbury's - so this is an even better price.

Good price for the wine, maybe... but no bonus points!!

I got a box of the Tempranillo (sp?) last night with 6 other various ones (there are others with 100 points that look nice - a Dino Pinot Grigio, I think and a Bordeaux). Took the old vouchers and doubled up as advised. I am pretty sure I have got a good deal and my wife and I (thankfully) both really like the wine as it seems to suit the hot weather.

It was the last box in Tesco at Gt Notley, Chelmsford, but the night manager said that a delivery was due at anytime and they get restocked every night.

    Happy hunting!
  • Bought 6 bottles and tried the white last night - loved it but needs to be well chilled. Going back for more:rotfl:
  • Torres is one of Spains best known wine makers. I think it's a white Rioja which is really nice if you like dry whites that are a bit different than your usual Chardonnay.
Bought 6 bottles Torres yesterday and tried the whote last night - loved it but needs to be well chilled :rotfl:

Must have been an MSE night in Tesco Amersham last night, I was at customer services and heard two people ask if they had Torres wine in stock ! :rotfl:
  • Cool - they named a wine after Liverpool's number 9 :D

Torres wine was there long time before the LFC Torres;)

Perhaps the parents conceived the name after a night drinking the wine?:rotfl:

(Spanish naming conventions when the parents get married are complex - I don't understand them. It is a bit like English, where the happy couple end up hyphenated.
    Perhaps someone can explain)

What a bargain, used £20 worth of Clubcard points to get £40 worth of wine deals. Only problem was there were only 6 bottles of Rose in shop no others. Still used £30 of the deals and got 900 points. £36 towards next years eurotunnel for hols. Going back today to see if there's more white. Many many thanks. Ps Rose is nice but needs to be well chilled.

Any silly beggar can pay full price, it takes skill to find bargains.
