They are rebranding all stores to "Currys" and, I assume, keeping the Dixons brand as the on-line representation of the group.

Nah, I think they're only talking about the dixons.co.uk part of the dixons group, they just want the dixons website to become the number one site for purchasing electrical goods online.
No reliance should be placed on the above.

All 200 of our high street stores across the UK are being re-branded as Currys.digital. Currys will always be close at hand with over 550 stores nationwide. Everything you'd expect from Dixons - all the top brands, all the latest technology, now combine with all the strength of Currys.

Spend over £100 in your local Dixons store before it becomes Currys.digital and we’ll give you a £15 voucher to spend in your new Currys.digital store! Conditions apply – ask in store for details.

not that good, better dells around if you wait (like the dell one last week for £290), or ebuyer do an ACER 3000+ for the same price and 15"

also i think the 1.4 is one of the old core celerons could be wrong though

Part of the Furniture 100 Posts Combo Breaker
Anyone know anything about the Sanyo VPC-C40E digital camcorder in the sale at £149.00 inc delivery? It looks like a decent deal with other places selling it for between £250-£350 (most around £300), though there's very little information around about it. It seems strange that a camcorder in that price bracket should take SD cards, I wonder how much footage would fit on the supplied 1gig card?

It might be worth a try anyway since it can be returned to a Dixons store for a refund within 14 days if it's not very good...
