I'm so jealous of everyone's tomatoes. I finally have one appearing today. I'm sick of the sight of the yellow flowers. :rolleyes:

Having a quiet evening. Garden is watered again (thanks for the lovely comments ) and the kitchen is swished. No lunches to do as they break up at lunch time tommorrow so hoefully off to bed soon.

I'm getting fed up with yellow courgette flowers that are not finishing in courgettes. They get started then the damn slugs eat them:mad: I shall pick the first one that makes it past 3 inches:D :rotfl:

You are such a bold girl Haribo I had doubts about praising your garden...but my honest streak won out and I must say that it is really beautiful...all the frogs and toads must be keeping your plants so healthy looking...well done you!

Spent four hours watching that Flying Scot Andy Murray win his tennis match...he could have had the decency to have done it in 3 sets but it was a mighty match.

Poor little Thunder has been in the wars again...he was attacked by a strange cat we have seen around a few times...seemed like a nice friendly moggie but will be in receipt of my boot in a very painful place the next time he/she appears...he seems to have bitten Thunder and he has spent the whole afternoon and evening sleeping off the shock and pain...think he's ok, we'll have to see to-morrow.

dd and a really good sale have convinced DH to get the stairs, landing and two bedrooms freshly carpeted.

Living room will have old carpet taken up and original floorboards varnished and the deep rich colouirs of the walls replaced by a natural hessian which shows how big the room is.
Carpet fitters arrive tomorrow morning and furniture is now all over the house.

DD has requested sweet potato soup or burgers tomorrow so will try to do that while finishing painting walls etc.
