Hello everybody...nice and warm here to-day although very cloudy and I would think that we will have some rain.
OS today is painting the walls in the kitchen...I hate painting so put it off as much as possible, but DD4 is pushing to-day and as she is helping I can't really get out of it.
Dinner will be ham and cabbage with new potatoes...love new spuds and could eat a mountain of them....great for my ever increasing girth....not.
Better get on...I will be so pleased when it is finished...but living room really needs doing too...oh, one thing at a time...
Hugs to all

Afternoon everybody.I have been MIA for a week or so,life got in the way,so hope everyone is welland hugs for those who aren't.
Its clouded over now,but still warm.I had a friend over at lunchtime so made chicken salad, probably similar for tea.
Taplady,my DS1 also has an interview later. He was made redundant in Jan.Everything crossed for the pair of them eh.
We had a young couple with 2 toddlers came to view the house at the weekend which seemed to go well, she was asking about a second viewing next weekend, and how quick could we move.....haven't had a call from the agents yet though
My OSing as usual included Starclen and Stardrops which brought the oven door up very well, its kind of mirrored glass and shows every grease spot and mark.Everywhere is spick and span due to aforementioned viewing of house,so not much to do.Watered salad plants and toms.I didnt want washing all over the garden when my friend was here so will leave that till tomorrow.I've ironed Ds1s interview shirt, and a few bits ,and will now go and find my book.
Have a good day all.x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0 -
Hi all
Quite excited as I have found one of the undated 20p coins in my purse this morning. Now not sure what to do with it!
Had a good weekend - working on Saturday but Manager not in so quite relaxing - now worried what she will pull me up on tomorrow when I go back in but I am keeping a record now of all that she says that is unfair and also a record of all her errors as well - not going to do anything with them but makes me feel better!!!! Sunday went for a picnic, we had promised DD3 we would do it and with all the lovely weather finally packed it up - went geocacheing - and planned to eat after we had found the treasure. However, having walked a couple of miles, waded through streams and got ourselves hungry and dirty it started raining - we were not defeated though we still had our picnic as it was warm rain!!!!
Went for coffee at Costa this morning for some me time - now going to do the housework.
Coffee from Costa for brekkie (free as full loyalty card)
pasta for lunch today
Tea will be leftover lamb from joint yesterday made into a Korma
Taplady - Good luck to OH
N9eav Good luck with the fishing comp, my OH is jealous of your boat -he had to sell his after his triple bypass last year!
Hugs to all who need them.

Afternoon all,

There has been a change of plan for dinner tonght.
Insted of stir fry we will now be haveing samon streaks with jacket spuds and salad:T

Hi
Been a bit MIA over the last few days, not really sure why, just a bit of a low point with not much to say. Anyway, onwards and upwards as the saying goes.
Had a mega clear out at work today - we need to order another skip. Just need the same enthusiasm to declutter home now. Tried out my new microwave/combi over the weekend. OH & DD2 seemed to like the results:p.
OS-wise - dinner will be stuffed YS mushrooms with salad, WM in use and BM going on shortly. Yesterday I spilt the yeast, knocked over the pan and lost some of the flour then put in salt twice instead of sugar, so I scooped some bits out, put in some extra flour and sugar and hoped for the best .. It was ok but I did defrost a few slices just in case:o.
Hope everyone has been doing ok,

Haribo,
Your home and garden are stunning, well done you, but the frogs and toads _pale__pale_ eugh I am terrified of them which i know is silly but I cant help it. Your peppers are much more advanced than mine, mine have not even flowered yet
.
Although I did pick three tomatoes today, and ate them for my lunch, did not save one for dd or OH.
Funny enough I took some photos of my garden today, will try and get them on later.
Good luck to the boys with interviews today.
Its been so hot here I bought a fan in Mr T last year at the end of the summer for £1.50 its been a god send today.
Made a banana loaf today, too hot to put the oven on really, but shoved some cookies in too, I also picked some red currants and made jelly from them.
Have good evenings all x0 -
Really late posting from me
Aussie, that's great that you've got DGS for so long, enjoy:D
Taplady and RosyRed too late really for crossed fingers for your sons, but I hope they have both done well.
Tired mum, I've skimmed the last few threads, your DD looked lovelyHope things work out for DS, I agree with celyn, I think a fresh start is what he needs. (hugs) for you, who'd be a mum eh?
Haribo, your garden is brilliant. Your peppers are way, way ahead of mine, but I do have flowers, so hopefully I might just get a pepper or twoI don't have ponds, but some neighbours must because I have quite a few froggy visitors. I like them, except when they frighten me by leaping out when I'm watering :rotfl:
Well it's been too hot to do too much today, so I went and got my hair cut. I don't suit haircutsI have a face for radio not TV :rotfl:Dinner tonight was salad, how original
Only had to use shop bought cucumber and avocado. I picked my own tomatoes, salad leaves (including masses of rocket, my favourite) and spring onions, and boiled a couple of teeny tiny beetroots
With hot new potatoes and cold chicken it was delicious
I think I could take to this veg growing, but only on a very small scale, not like most of you
I've just raced the darkness to hang out some washing, hopefully it won't rain and the washing will dry and not be baked brick hard. Will try to get up early tomorrow and iron it before the day gets unbearable. They say the temperature won't drop below 19 in London tonight , so the fans will be going all night. You never get a second chance to make a first impression.0
