when quoting a poster called "rufusd!!!2" the system puts !!! in the latter part - I have no idea why? e.g rufusd!!!2

That was one of the keywords that the nutcase yahoo/mafia/porn spammer we had a while back was using. So I think that is why it was added to the forum word filter.
A lot of the other seemingly strange choices for banned words may well be because they frequently turned up as part of spam links/posts in the past.
^ but doing so doesn't stop the spam, only the blocked word. The rest of the post remains there. Good idea but I don't think it fully explains it. Perhaps it was done in error thinking it would block them?Order of events: Banks lose our money -> get bailed out -> were inflating GBP to cover it -> now taxing us -> next will grab your funds direct -> things get really desperate to balance the books. What should have happened?: banks go bust and we lost our money much quicker0
