You can use gravy granules, if that is what you have.

I don't see why not. I freeze stock and thickened gravy.

The main point to remember is that if you freeze meat or meat huices, make sure that you heat it through properly for a few mins so that it's boiling hot.
Just run, run and keep on running!

    :hello:

    I thought I'd share a sausagey thingy I invented:

    Fry 16 sausages.
Chop them into thirds and stick in a big pot.
Fry 2 red and 2 white onions in the sausage juice, until soft. Sprinkle them with chilli powder while they're frying for a little extra kick.
Chuck them in the pot too.
Add 2 tins of tomatoes, and 2 tins of kidney beans.
Add two punnets of mushrooms, chopped, and a dash of water.
Add a great big squirt of Heinz barbecue sauce, and a good glug of Lea & Perrins. (This is the thing that makes it good).
Simmer in the big pot for a couple of hours or so.
Feed to 6 blokes with fresh crusty bread and a baked spud each.
Watch England get beaten by Wales, swear a lot and cry a bit. :( Throw sharpened leeks at any Taff you can find. Drown sorrows with 8 cans of Scrumpy Jack.
Freeze the leftovers for later, although there isn't much.

    Job's a good 'un. :D

Ok ladies, going to try to make a casserole thing with some of the ingredients I already have at home.

Basically was going to use sausages, tomato sauce (ragu) and some sliced potato over the top. Now few questions...........do I cook the sausages first? If so how? Do I cook the potatoes first? Again, if so how? Lol Im a wee bit clueless about this sorry.

Also can you make bread without a breadmaker?

    All advice very much appreciated!

I would brown the sausages off in the frying pan first to give them some colour. If you're going to slice the spuds like a hot pot then I don't think you need to cook them, otherwise I would par boil them.

You can make bread without a breadmaker but it takes longer to do

I always brown my sausages first, and I don't pre-cook the potatos, I spread them over and cook with the casserole dish lid on, then take the lid off for last 15 mins to brown them if needed.
