Been out today and done all the stock shopping I could do for August - and by careful use of vouchers (a couple only useable as I reached required spends by doing DD's shopping for her while I was where ;) ) and a couple of £10 gift cards (from doing surveys) I'm still well within my July budget :T

Used £6 of vouchers, and £20 giftcards - which brought my spend down to £32.23, leaving me £21.53 under budget for the month :D

Declaring for July at £97.07 out of my £118.60 budget

On my 'year to date' figures I'm now £79.93 in credit, which I'm chuffed to pieces about - especially as I shouldn't need to spend a great deal to get us through to the end of August :j

    Hello Folks,

I have just added up my last weeks worth of receipts (what a long month!) and it came to £439.35. So, well over budget, but i'm not surprised. I have been so busy this month I have not been very good, despite lots coming from the veggie garden. The children being at home is definitely a factor - too many trips to the local Co-op, which is NOT cheap. Also, there are three online shops in there, usually just one in a month. The last one was just this week and will last us into August. And we are going on hols at the end of next week. Despite this, I will be doing the August challenge.

So, can I declare please at £439.35.
    Many thanks.

    Morning everyone!

Well I've just decluttered my purse of receipts for July, and totted it up to £133.46 (only £13.46 over budget) which I didn't think was too bad as this included a huge amount of food for my birthday BBQ at the beginning of the month, and £20 wasn't really a realistic addition to the budget, seeing as I was catering for 12 that day.

So, I need to declare my total of £133.46

I didn't think I'd manage to match the 15 due to a Mr M opening just down the road from me ;)

Apologies for being o/t but I was just reading this thread for inspiration and thought that's funny there's a new Mr M just down the road from me too - I looked across at your profile and we're in the same place lol.

I really need to go and read the meal planning threads as I'm so disorganised!

Thanks for the inspirational posts in this thread :D

I`m finally declaring £200 for July  i`ve overspent on the hols and cat food offers
I know that the cat food will last ages and i could add some of it to next months total instead but i`ve decided not to. I`m also sure that there is a missing reciept somewhere thanks to DH so i`ve just rounded my total up.

    Better luck next time!!

So the numbers are in for July - £116.13 which means I underspent by £33.87!! :T:T:T

I'm over the moon considering my overspend in June! I averaged £23.23 a week in July & although I will budget for £30 a week I hope to repeat this in August. Fingers crossed!

LB & I have decided to save whatever we don't spend for Christmas food shopping as we always get loads! Also will hopefully be having a bit of a party on Christmas eve, nothing fancy but will need to get booze in for it! ;)

Declaring for July at £142.71, waaaaay over budget. I didn't allow for the extra week in July, but otherwise I'm not really sure why I've gone that much over... will need to review receipts and be more careful this month.
