Went through the kitchen cupboards to do the meal plan for this week, and found that all of my potatoes have sprouted, so listed them on freecycle, and 2 peope want them already - if the first doesn't show tomorrow, the second can have them.

Lunches for the week all made up (salad every day left over from the BBQ - I told you I had lots leftover). Will try to clean out the fridge whilst I'm downstairs, and mop the floor, so I can get my kitchen star.
Off to get the washing in and put the towels in the TD. Be back in a bit.

Big hugs to quillion - I tried to post earlier, but the site wasn't working for me, and then the internet crashed.
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

Quillion, I know this is an incredibly hard time for you now worrying about your best friend but she is in the right place, she will stabilise with the right interventions and hopefully will settle in herself soon.

By the sounds of it her illness has been exacerabated by the chest infection and being sick etc. With the right treatment she'll come through.

Situations like this are not manageable by one or two people, it needs teams of people who know how to help and treat your friend.

Right now you concentrate on being you, the best thing that medicine can't buy, a good, loving friend.

Sweetheart, true friendship is a bit like marriage, it's for richer for poorer, in sickness and in health, right now your friend is sick, she'll get better with the right help, you just wait for her and keep strong for her. True strength and love for a friend is not turning your back when the going gets tough. I salute your strength and love for your friend. Look after yourself Quillion, just keep being yourself, kind and thoughtful. xxxx
Triker, this is so well put.
The biggest of big hugs for you Quillion and for your friend. It must be so awful to see your friend like that. When her meds are working again then I’m sure she will be feeling much better. Your support will mean so much to her once she is feeling a bit better.

Methekidsandthecat how awful for your mum to have such severe depression, how horrible for her and for all the family. Glad she is able to talk a bit now about what happened to her and to get some help for it.

Toots, how big are the bags? Are they just tablet sized or a bit bigger – ie to put undies in when on holiday? Please may I have one of the lint ball things? ETA: Just seen they have been claimed, no worries

Huge hugs for you too Hex, it is a shock to see someone looking frail when you haven’t seen them for a while

Is anyone else having trouble with Top Gear? There must be something wrong with the transmitter, channels one and two keep going and all we get is a snowstorm. Three is fine, four is dodgy but then it always is. Can't get five at all ever.

Have washed up. dh did the most delicious roast, which was yummy but i have two or three more loads of washing up to do.

I got the most steps ever yesterday - over 7, 000, and today have doubled my normal Sunday total. And doing a thousand all at once is easy and I'm recovering quicker and feeling like doing another thousand much quicker (less than an hour)

    Hiya everyone!
I've got so much done by not being able to log on. I'm now on the computer my inlaws bought the children last christmas. It's wierd typing on a proper keyboard.

Old pooch is sleeping a huge amount. She'll eat if we soak her food in water...I'm convinced she has a tooth problem that might not look obvious but is hurting her. Maybe a loose one or pain underneath it. We'll keep an eye on her and give her cuddles galore.

DD back from residential school - I opened her suitcase and boy did the clothes smell! Three loads of washing done and underwear / towels dried in dryer as it's raining here. Also watered the greenhouse and swept the floors.

Quillion - massive hugs to you, it's so painful to see friends go through anything like that. It happened to me when I was at university and broke my heart to hear her begging to take me home. Twenty years on she continues to have her ups and downs but is so much better. Funnily enough - it was after a sickness bug that she had her big breakdown too. Hugs to you. PM if you need to xx

Hugs to everyone and scumptious puppy dog says thanks for all the kind words (stripes is being very gentle with her so she must know she's not feeling well - ok, toots, she's not totally stoopid!) xx
