Those silkies are cute Triker. Will they lay or are they purely pets ?

Hi Valli, yes they'll lay eventually so they'll be productive pets.;):D

I had to leave my bestest friend ever the other day on her hands and knees begging m to end her pain. The staff had to prize her fingers off of my legs.

Just had to share this, if i said this out loud i would not be able to speak for the tears.

Hugs for everyone who needs them xxx

Quillion, I know this is an incredibly hard time for you now worrying about your best friend but she is in the right place, she will stabilise with the right interventions and hopefully will settle in herself soon.

By the sounds of it her illness has been exacerabated by the chest infection and being sick etc. With the right treatment she'll come through.

Situations like this are not manageable by one or two people, it needs teams of people who know how to help and treat your friend.

Right now you concentrate on being you, the best thing that medicine can't buy, a good, loving friend.

Sweetheart, true friendship is a bit like marriage, it's for richer for poorer, in sickness and in health, right now your friend is sick, she'll get better with the right help, you just wait for her and keep strong for her. True strength and love for a friend is not turning your back when the going gets tough. I salute your strength and love for your friend. Look after yourself Quillion, just keep being yourself, kind and thoughtful. xxxx

Quillion - huge hugs. I think Triker has put it very well. Remember to look after yourself too, as it's a huge emotional strain on you to have to deal with it.

I had a decent walk around the village, so am over 13000 steps today and still have to deadhead the roses... I've got much more energy now I've got off my bum and done something!

I'm starting to deal with some of my paperwork - I'm replying to a wedding invitation, writing a congratulations note to my cousin and his wife who've just had their first baby, and paying the window cleaner! So I'll have to walk into the village again tomorrow to buy stamps and post them... I really don't know how I can have time to work when I could spend all my time pottering!
